Chapter 2 by Thundra26 Thundra26

Is this factory still active?

Yes it is.

The factory has brought in hundreds if not thousands of trucks through this town to collect its candy. The town had to change a bit to cope with the sheer amount of trucks coming in. Roads became patchy and gas prices increased drastically. The constant traffic has caused jams which slowly started to cause a rise in disdain from the townspeople towards the factory. A group of richer people even came into the town and built large luxurious houses in order to be closer to the factory, and profit off of the town itself.

A town hall meeting was held in order to confront the mayor on how he planned on solving some of these issues. Just like a corporate shill, the mayor gave very generic answers that don’t provide an actual solution.

“There are pot holes all over these roads, when are they going to get filled?”

“We are working hard on repairing the roads, but I must get approval from the county in order to get these potholes filled.”

“I used to fill up a tank of gas with $60, now I’m having to pay $120! Why is the gas so expensive?!”

“Well, with the constant influx of trucks, and us being the most convenient refilling spot for these trucks, the supply is hard for us. Please hang tight as I consult the county on bringing in more gas.”

Question after question is being given the same answer of “we’re working on it.”

For too long have the people been dealing with these issues and are slowly getting fed up with the lack of solutions. Unbeknownst to them, the candy maker themself was at that town hall meeting. Thinking back on the problem the factory has caused, the candy maker wanted to do something to ease the townspeople's’ mind. A couple of days ago, a few residents of the town received a letter sent by the candy maker. The recipients of these letters are courteously invited on a personal tour of the factory with the Candy Maker in order to answer questions, ease their thoughts on the troubles, and hopefully leave them with a better feeling of the factory than before.

Who received this letter?
