Emily seems surprised, so you elaborate.

"I think I really like you." You start tentatively. "And I don't think I want to mess things up with you."

She still seems to be surprised as if it is only starting to, genuinely, dawn on her what you are getting at and what all of this means to you.

"You said you wish we had started doing this sooner." You say almost defensively.

"Yes, for sure." She says in a supportive manner. "I guess I am still processing. You know?"

You go to sit up, feeling flustered, but Emily stops you and pulls you into a kiss.

"I said I am processing, you don't have to run away." She says.

You melt into another kiss and soon the two of you start making love.
