The blindfolds Grunkle Stan insisted we wore didn't help matters. As my other senses heightened to compensate, and I keep getting pushed up against Dippers new, firm chest.

"Grunkle Stan you're not wearing a blindfold as well right?" Dipper asks as he wrap an arm around me. A strong, firm... 'BROTHER!!!'

"...might as well be. What is that, a woodpecker?" Was all I heard before a loud smashing sound and a moment of weightlessness. That and Dippers strong arms wrapping protectively around me...

"BROTHER!" I unintentionally scream out. Thankfully it seemed to be missed by the others in the car as rolled down a hill before managing to land on it's wheels.

Opening the door, Dipper and I finally pull off our blindfolds to see a lake in front of us. Grunkle Stan makes a sweeping gesture. "Surprise! It's family fun day!" Pulling out a set of fishing rods from the trunk. "I figured we needed to do some bonding stuff. So we're spending the day fishing."

Whatever else he was going to say was cut off as a scene unfolds down by the lake edge. Apparently the town coot was claiming the lake monster had apparently destroyed his boat. Dipper, intrigued by the idea of a lake monster, and the cash prize a magazine he had was offering for supernatural pics. He tried to talk Grunkle Stan into it, only to change his plan when Soos shows up in his tricked out boat. "Come on Mabel." He holds out a hand to me. His firm hand that would feel so good against.

Shaking my head I step back. "I'm gonna go with Grunkle Stan. Keep him company and out of trouble. Hey, give us one of the cameras in case you miss the Gobblewhatever and it head out to the lake." I ramble, trying to give a sound reason to my choice. Can't exactly say I didn't want to go because this sounds like the start of a story, where the heroine and hero defeat the mighty beast. But not before getting stuck in at least a few romantic scenarios that get cut off by the comic relief. Soos going makes that seem even more likely. I don't care if it sounds cliche. I found a notebook that alters the rules of reality. Logic went out the door two days ago.

Dipper shrugs, tossing me two of the cameras before hoping into Soos's boat and moving out. Turning back to Grunkle Stan I smile. "...So~...fishing?"

Fishing with Grunkle Stan wasn't as bad as I originally thought. Only awkward part was when he was showing me how to tie knots for the line, and my imagination immediately decides to wonder if those can be used in the bedroom, and that makes me think of Dipper again. Turning around, I cast my line to hide my blush from Grunkle Stan.

Speaking of the Grunkle, he coughs lightly to get my attention. "Thanks for agreeing to this sweetie. Honestly, I'm really starting to wonder why your parents said you and Dipper needed to learn to be independent from one another."

As he continued to talk about how he enjoyed having someone to spend time with I stared blankly ahead, letting out an occasional "uhuh" to appear like I'm listening. They sent us here to try and break us apart? Like they hadn't done that enough before I made that rule?! They didn't send us here to keep us out of there divorce, but to break us up!

"Kiddo? You.. SHIT!" I hear Grunkle Stan yell. But I'm to angry to care.

After composing myself and helping Grunkle Stan out of the water. I was thankfully saved from having to explain myself by the arrival of Dipper and Soos. Apparently they did find the monster. But then they realized they'd rather spend time with the two of us. Not about to let Dipper change his mind, I immediately pull Grunkle Stan onboard while Soos ties the rowboat to tow behind us.

As the day winds to a close and we step back onto the pier, Grunkle Stan takes a pic on his camera of Dipper and I hugging with the lake and the setting sun as our background.

As we make our way back to the shack I make up my mind. Those two, cause I refused to call them my parents any more, spent years wanting Dipper and I to be as close as possible. Only to decide to try and separate us, for what! So we could be split apart when they finally divorce? To have us be as miserable as them?

WELL FUCK THAT! Fuck morals! Fuck social rules! I literally can rewrite them. So if I want to be more to my Bro-bro than just his twin. Then what can stop me!

Rushing up stairs I grab the notebook and put pen to page.
