Yes, but barely

Footsteps in the hallway, awkward and slow, but approaching fast.

I quickly pushed the book back where I’d found it and leapt into bed, glad for once that the straw and wood of the bedframe muted my movements. I resumed my prostrate position and feigned sleep. Moments later Charity entered the room. She looked exhausted, sweat covered her in a light sheen and her robe was partly open, revealing a lack of underwear of any kind. Her eyes had a dazed expression and, in her hand, she held the black dildo.

I had to suppress the urge to hurl myself at Charity to get the mystical artifact for my own right then and there. Instead I immediately hatched a plan for how to acquire it in the morning and then return it without Charity knowing, if all went well.
