Yes, but actually no

Katarina charged at the nearest imp with a roar. She thrust her spear at its face, but he moved at the last second, dodging her attack. Letting out a small yelp, she stepped back just in time to avoid his retaliation as he awkwardly swung his oversized ax at her.

Meanwhile, unnoticed by Katarina, Ysdella was taking advantage of the situation and went to kick the imp in the balls again. Unfortunately the imp was watching and managed to step back far enough that her kick only grazed him in the side. He retaliated, hitting the hunter right in the stomach with his club. She slumped over and fell to the ground in pain. The imp was upon her in moments, trying to hit her again with his club. Ysdella was a brawler at heart, preferring to roughhouse with the village boys when she was younger. She recovered quickly and managed to roll away from the imp before he could strike at her despite the bindings holding her arms and legs together.

Katarina was having a rough time with the imp. It was fighting intelligently, keeping close to her so she was not able to use her extra reach of the spear to good effect. Holding the shaft with both hands she did the best she could to parry the imp's blows. All of her concentration was being used to dodge and weave, blocking where she needed to, but she was being pushed back. Away from Ysdella.

Shuffling backwards and waiting for an opportunity she almost lost her footing in a particularly deep puddle. Thankfully she managed to right herself before the next attack came and she smoothly stepped back, avoiding the wide arc of the axe. She shuffled back still but braced herself for what she knew was coming. Her grip on the spear tightened and she raised it at the imp. Still grinning like an idiot, the imp moved forward quickly, trying to close the distance between them to keep up his advantage. He slipped in the very same puddle and before he realised what had happened, a spear was through his eye and poked out on the other side of his head. He burst into flame which quickly smoldered into nothingness that was blown away by the wind.

"Hey, you!"

Katarina span, looking for the source of the voice. She saw the other imp holding Ysdella by her long ponytail, his crude club was raised threateningly.

"Throw your weapon to the ground or your friend head will break like an egg!" He shouted at her. Ysdella was struggling as much as she could but the imp held on.

"Don't do it Kat, kill the bas-" the imp kicked her in the back causing her to lose her breath.

"Shut up bitch!"
