Chapter 29 by dead_account dead_account

-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!?!

Yeah, sure, why not?

You stared at Miss Cardigan as she sipped her cup of coffee.

You were seated on the outside table at some cafe she regularly goes to. The umbrella covered both you and Miss Cardigan from the rays of the sun as you both drank your coffees in peace.

Well, she drank her coffee in peace. You barely even touched yours yet.

Miss Cardigan- no, wait, you're allowed to call her Bella now, right? Bella noticed you staring at her, and she blushed a bit from the attention. But she doesn't admonish you or anything. She doesn't seem to mind at all.

If anything, she decided to instead reach her hand out to place it over on top of yours on the table.

Her hand was warm and smooth as she rubbed her thumb on your fingers.

This doesn't calm you down though. In fact, you're much more confused now than ever before.

Why was she doing this? This just doesn't make any sense...

Wait, is she just thanking you for comforting her back in Friday? No, wait, if that's the case, then what the hell is the point of asking you out on a date?

Is this a prank? Did someone in school hire Bella to start going around and asking her students out on dates? Are they filming you right now?

No, no, Bella is the least likely person to go along with something so childish. If anything, she'd probably smack anyone that tries to do that and get them sent to the principle's office.

So... Why the hell is she doing this then?

"Is something wrong, John?" Bella asked in concern, noticing you staring off in the distance like a brain dead moron.

You snapped yourself out of your thoughts, and nervously replied, "No, no, I'm fine! Just fine."

She still has her hand on top of yours- What the hell is going on?!

"So... Um..." Bella started off awkwardly, "How has your weekend been?"

"It uh... It was okay..." You answered awkwardly back.

There was an uncomfortable silence.

"Um... Are you going to drink your coffee?" She asked.

"Oh. Right." You nodded, taking the cup with your other hand and sipping it.

Oh, hey, this is actually good. Wow.

"Huh, I've never been to this cafe before. This tastes really good." You complimented.

"Really? I'm glad!" Bella perked up and smiled happily, "I've been going to this cafe ever since I moved to this town! I'm close friends with the owner, so I get a small discount. So, if you want to come here next time on your own, just tell them you know me."

...wow...

She is really cute when she smiles. Like, not just a small grin or a fake formal smile. This was an actual genuine smile, and you never thought she was capable of making one before.

"S-Sure thing. Thanks for this." You nodded to her, finishing your cup. Then, you decided to make small talk too by asking her, "So... How about you? How has your weekend been? Are you... Um... feeling better since whatever happened on Friday?"

She blushed and looked away, "Hmhmhm... Yeah... I've been feeling much better since then."

"That's great. I'm glad to hear that." You smiled back. "If you don't mind me asking... What happened on Friday that caused you to get in such a bad mood?"

She looked at you, studying your face. Almost like she was trying to gauge what your thoughts were. Hoping to find something... But what?

"It was... A bad dream. A nightmare, I guess." She said, "It sounds silly, I know... but, I'm actually over it now. It doesn't really bother me anymore."

A bad dream... Huh. You wondered what it was about...

"I'm actually not bothered by it anymore because of you, I think... You helped me get over it somehow." She told you.

"Me? What?" You blinked.

"Yeah. And I want you to know how thankful I am. I haven't felt this good about myself in a long while." She smiled. "Really. Thank you."

You blankly stared at her for a moment, before awkwardly chuckling, "I'm... I'm not sure exactly what I did to help... I mean, all I did was give you a hug to make you feel better. It's not like I cured you of some sort of depression or anything."

"Heheh..." She giggled, "You did a lot more for me than you might think... But maybe I shouldn't say too much. I don't think you'll believe me if I told you."

Uh... Okay then? That's weird, but okay then.

"So... What exactly was the nightmare about anyway? It actually sounds kinda serious..." You decided to switch the topic back to that.

"..." Bella stayed silent on that, unsure of whether she should tell you or not. Instead, she asked, "Do you wanna go someplace fun? I know a few stops we can go to before the day ends."

"Oh. Uh, okay. Sure." You end up going along with her. "But uh, can I actually just ask something real quick? What is this for anyway? When you called this a date, did you mean it more like, just a teacher and a student spending the day together to hang out?"

You have your doubts that Miss Cardigan asked you out on a date on romantic sense. I mean, you're her student! A student that doesn't even like her class that much either! There's seriously no possible reason that you could think of for Miss Cardigan to think of you like that.

Sure, she had her hand on top of yours, but like, that could mean anything.

"Did you think I asked you out simply as a teacher trying to connect with her student?" She asked.

"Sort of, yeah. I mean, it's not that I don't appreciate it! I'm just kind of confused why you need-"

Bella stood up from her seat and walked over to you. Then, she held your head still before leaning down to kiss you on the lips.

At this point, your mind went blank, unable to comprehend what was happening.

She pulled away, giving you a loving smile as she looked into your eyes. "I asked you out because I'm in love with you, John. Did that answer your question?

...

You blinked twice in shock.

She just kissed you full on the lips, didn't she?

Hm. Yeah. Okay. Sure. Why not.

Your teacher is in love with you for some reason. Yes, I see. Nothing wrong with that. That seems completely normal so far- WHAT

"I... DID NOT EXPECT THAT." You squeaked, a little bit louder than you should have.

She giggled at your reaction, "You're kinda cute when you're like this. You're a lot different than in my dream... But I don't think I mind."

You didn't catch what she said, still too preoccupied by the fact that your history teacher just full on kissed you on the lips.

Welp, all of your preconceived notions on why she asked you out were thrown out the window. Apparently, she just wanted to date you because she was in love with you and you have no idea why she was in love with you but she apparently she was in love with you-

Fine, fuck it. You're down with it. It's just barely as weird as that time when Shelly started wanting to have sex you, so whatever.

You stood up from your seat, "Okay... I guess this is a date then."

She smiled happily, taking hold of your hand as she lead you back to the car. "How does a movie sound? After that, we can maybe relax by the park and then go to my place for dinner?"

______

The day passes.

You and Bella ended up traveling all around town doing all sorts of things to have fun. You went a watched a romantic comedy with her, where you would both laugh and she would find any excuse to snuggle up with you on the seats.

Then after that, you spent some time at an arcade, playing skiball and a few rail shooter games. Bella took some time giving you advice on a proper throwing technique by intimately pressing her body against you from behind and controlled your arms as you throw.

Next, you walked around the local park to enjoy the scenery while you got to know Bella a little bit better, all the while having Bella hug onto your arm like a girlfriend would for her boyfriend. It felt really embarassing, but also kind of fun and cute. You found out all sorts of things about each other, your hobbies and interests, your personal favorite tv series, things you discovered that you both had in common with.

She was apparently into Power Rangers, even at her adult age.

That was awesome for you, because you were also a huge fan of Power Rangers, even at your almost-adult age.

You liked Jungle Fury the most. Her favorite was the old classic Time **** series.

Heehee! Ranger buddies!

While walking around, you swore you saw some people who looked like they might go to your highschool, and they sometimes looked surprised when they saw Bella latched on to you so romantically. They don't do anything else though, so you have no idea whether they actually were classmates in your high school or not.

Strangely enough, as you walked around the city, there were actually a few people who seemed to recognize you and waved hello, almost as if they were your friends or something. It was weird, since they were completely unfamiliar to you. You had to wonder if they didn't get the wrong John Doe who happens to have your name.

Before long, evening sets, and she finally takes you over to her apartment.

Inviting you in, she sets you down in her main living room and told you, "Here, I'll make some dinner. Anything you want in particular?"

"I guess I'd like something sweet and sugary if you have anything." You shrugged, "But I'm okay with whatever you got."

"Sure, wait right here then. I can whip up some pancakes."

She went to her kitchen, and you heard some pots and pans clanging together as she got to work.

You patiently sat still in her living room, admiring her apartment.

It was small, yet nice and homely.

Today has been... Actually pretty pleasant. Clearly, you weren't expecting to be going on a romantic date today, least with your own history teacher of all people.

But as you've gotten to know her a little better, you kind of see her in a completely different light now.

This whole time, her cold and strict personality back at school seemed to be just a persona she made in order to focus on being professional. In reality, she was much more sweet and fun to hang around with. She acted a lot more like a girl your age would act like. She was kind, completely social, and also a lot more laid back than you ever expected.

It was nice. Nice to get to know the real her. Nice to get along.

You just can't seem to figure out why she was in love with you yet. That was the real mystery for this whole thing now, wasn't it?

She came back, holding two plates of pancakes in each hand, already coated with syrup and decorated with melting butter on top. "Sorry for the wait!"

"Oh no, it's fine!" You reassured her.

She placed dinner down on the coffee table, and you both started eating.

Hm... Tasted good. Almost like the way your mom makes them.

Heh, speaking of which...

"You know, my mom probably thinks I've spent the entire day studying at your apartment. She has no idea that all of this happened today." You chuckled in thought.

She giggled back, "Maybe let's keep it that way. I'm sure she'd be a lot more willing to let you stay with me if she thinks you're only studying."

"Heh, yeah..."

She would probably flip the fuck out if she ever found out you were actually on a date with your history teacher.

...

"This has been a really wonderful day, Bella." You told her. "I'm glad I've gotten to know the real you. It's a nice surprise from how Miss-Cardigan-the-History-Teacher acts."

"Really? That's great to hear!" She gave a relieved sigh, "I was secretly worried that you might not be having fun and wanted to go back home. I thought you might just be going along with the date just to be nice."

"Nah, this was definitely fun. Most of my days tend to be boring since I don't really do anything. I don't really have any friends to hang out with, so I just pretty much laze around all day at home. I'd love to do this more often."

She had an excited gleam in her eye when you said that, looking completely overjoyed as she finished up her dinner.

"I'd love to take you out on dates like this more often too..." She said, giving you her cute smile.

There was... something about her... seeing her like this... The way she acts so happy and carefree. The way she's enjoying herself.

You think back on Friday, and you can't help but feel so immensely relieved to see her like this. So so so painfully happy to see her like this.

You wished she could be happy forever.

After finishing dinner, you both leave the plates as they were on the table as Bella laid her head on your shoulder, wrapping her arms around your body to cuddle.

With you two being so close, it brought a pleasant smile on your face.

And then you were reminded by the fact that you still had no idea why she was suddenly in love with you. What brought this change? Why did she ask you out today? When did this start?

How long has she felt like this towards you?

And most importantly... Why you?

Should you ask her now? Before the day is over and she has to take you back home?

"Hey John..." She brought you out of your thoughts, and asked, "Remember what you asked me this morning? About the nightmare I had on Friday?"

The nightmare she had?

"Yeah... I was sort of curious about that." You told her, "You don't have to tell me if you're not comfortable with it..."

She hummed to herself, before she started talking about something else completely. "Back when I was in high school, I used to date this boy named Oliver. He said he thought I was cute, and asked me out first."

You had no idea where she was going with this, nor how it's related to her nightmare, but you stayed silent as you listened to her story.

"We were happy together. We did everything a boy and girl would do when they were in love. He always comforted me when I needed him, and I would always go to him whenever he needed me. We were the picture definition of high school sweethearts. I thought he and I would be together forever. My first and only love. How lucky was I to find someone so perfect, and felt the same for me?"

"What happened to Oliver?" You asked. "Something obviously happened if he wasn't around anymore..."

She smiled sadly, "He broke up with me to be with someone else."

What?! But why?! The hell did he do that for?! Weren't they in love with each other?!

She continued on, "I was devastated when it happened. The days right before, I had a bad feeling that Oliver was getting tired of me when we weren't acting as close as we used to be. I always asked him about it, and he promised that it was just my imagination. He promised that he would always love me and never leave me for any reason. And I believed him..."

Fucking asshole. You can't believe he would leave someone so sweet and pretty like Bella for some other girl! Argh, knowing this happened makes you feel sick to your stomach!

"Two years after that, I graduated and moved to college. There, I met another boy and he helped me moved on from Oliver. His name was Erin. He wasn't like Oliver, but I liked him... I liked him a lot. He made me feel special. He did all sorts of wonderful things for me, things nobody else has ever done before, he treated me like I was his princess. It was like being in a romantic novel whenever I was with him. A dream come true. But... It turned out to be nothing like that..."

Despite telling you all of this, she doesn't seem at all upset about it. You would think having her remember all of this would make her feel at least even a little bit emotional. But besides the sad smile on her face, she just seemed relieved to tell you all this. Almost like it doesn't really bother her anymore.

"One night, a few months in our relationship, he set up a romantic evening for me at his house. Some wine, music was playing, it was wonderful. Then he while we were kissing, he started undressing me. I was still a virgin at the time, so I wasn't ready to have sex with a man yet. I told him that I wasn't emotionally prepared, and asked if he could wait for me someday in the future when I was more comfortable. He told me he understood, and kissed me goodbye when he drove me back home."

You were already dreading to hear the next part.

"He stopped hanging around me the week after that. I found him on the rooftops of the University, having sex with another girl behind my back. It turned out that after I refused to have sex with him, he started cheating on me." She turned to look at you with a humorous grin, "You know the kicker of this story? It turned out the be the same girl that Oliver left me for."

FUCK, what the hell man?!

"Her name was Samantha. A girl who used to bully me a lot in back in both high school and college. She was the sexy popular girl that all the guys wanted to be with. Big boobs, long flowing hair, desirable body... And she was also completely easy. She had sex with almost every guy that caught her attention... Including Oliver and Erin..."

"Why are you telling me all this? I mean, it's a terrible story and I'm so sorry you had to go through all this shit... But I don't get why you want to share it with me." You told her.

She chuckled, explaining further, "The night before Friday, I had a dream. A wonderful dream. I was young again, a teenager like before, and I was back at my parents house. With me was a boy I was starting to like." She started caressing your cheek, "He was wonderful and romantic in every way. He snuggled with me by the fireplace and told me how beautiful I was... But then it changed into a nightmare midway."

She sat up, looking off in the distance as she recalled her dream, "Samantha showed up in my dream. She manipulated the boy I was with and was trying to take him away from me. His attention was completely stolen by her, and he wouldn't even give me another glance. No matter how much I screamed and begged him to stay, he wouldn't listen, even shoving me away so that he could be with her.

When they eventually got together and kissed, Samantha laughed in my face and told me that no matter what I do, I was always gonna lose to her. She would always take away anyone who was in love with me."

Flashes of something dark and scary popped into your mind. A strange black ghostly spectral thing with long tendrils that wrapped around your neck and choked you to ****. A crying detached face of a woman. Somebody screaming.

You snapped out of it, rubbing your head clear. Slowly, the memory leaves your mind and it was like the flashes never even happened.

The hell was that about?

"That's the nightmare I had before I woke up screaming. I couldn't get the dream out of my head and it drove me crazy. The memory of Oliver and Erin leaving me for Samantha, the exact same girl... It probably ruined my entire day... If it wasn't for you." She turned to look at you gratefully, "You cheered me up. Reassured me everything was okay. Made me pull through for the rest of the day. I was able to sleep peacefully and have a fantastic dream after that with the boy in my head that I told you about."

"Oh jeez... I didn't realize that you needed that hug so badly. Sorry I couldn't do much more for you other than that..." You scratched your head, feeling bad for not realizing how terrible she must have felt.

She shook her head, "Please don't be sorry. You've done so much for me than you could possibly know!"

She hugged you again, holding your head close. The she whispered in your ear...

"The boy in my dream that I fell in love with... It was you, John."

You blushed, hearing that.

"I... I was in your dreams?"

"Yeah... And I'll never forget a single moment of it..."

Suddenly, she kissed you on the lips again. It was more passionate than the quick kiss from this morning. She forcefully grabbed the back of your head and pushed it towards her, before slowly sliding her tongue in to invade your mouth.

You couldn't do anything other than to just sit there and accept it, hugging her back and closing your eyes as you made out with your teacher.

She pushed you back on the sofa, leaving her on top of you as you both made out furiously and drool started leaking out of your mouths.

Then she pulled back, both of you gasping for air.

"Holy shit..." You said, stupefied.

"You look happy." She smiled lovingly, holding your cheek in her hand,

"I'm definitely feeling a certain positive emotion right now, yeah. Holy shit." You repeated with a nod.

"John, I need to know... Do you have a girlfriend? Are you in a relationship with anyone?" She asked hesitantly, almost nervous to hear your answer.

You thought about Shelly for a brief moment. You and your sexual relationship with your sister.

"I... Technically, no. No, I don't have a girlfriend." You told her.

"Technically?" She frowned.

"It's a... Weird relationship, with a girl I know. She doesn't love me, and I don't love her. It's just something we're dealing with right now..." You answered vaguely, not wanting to reveal your incestuous relationship. "But no, we're not dating or anything."

"I see..." She relaxed, but still had this contemplative frown on her face. Like she doesn't know whether to be glad that you were still single, or worried about the fact that there was still another girl in your life that gave you complicated feelings.

In the end, she went back to kissing you. You gladly accepted it, welcoming her tongue back in your mouth.

Steadily, the romantic kiss became a bit more sexual than you were expecting.

Bella moaned into your mouth lewdly as she began to frisk you, rubbing her hands all over your body and caressing your stomach.

You started following her lead, one hand rubbing down her back and eventually grabbing her wonderful ass, and the other groping and kneading her breast.

Feeling this, she became more adventurous and lifted your shirt up to feel the warmth of your chest. Then she started unzipping your pants.

You can't believe this was happening. Were you actually going to have sex with her? Were you going to have sex with your high school history teacher?

This almost seemed impossible. How the hell did you manage to get so lucky? A guy like you who barely does anything except sit on your ass all day at home and never does anything special in school?

You slowly unbuttoned her shirt as she removed your trousers. Since you were still concentrating on making out with her, you had some trouble taking off some buttons, your hands trembling as it was unfocused.

Bella, knowing what you wanted, pulled back from the kiss again and removed her shirt for you, allowing you to see her topless in her bra.

"I want you, so badly." She told you in a husky voice.

It reminded you of something... But what?

No, that doesn't matter right now, don't get distracted.

"Can you stay the night over here? Please?" She begged, "Don't worry about school tomorrow. I'll give you a permission slip to be late, so please... Please stay with me!"

She's begging YOU to stay with her? It should definitely be the other way around, shouldn't it?

Will you spend the night with her?
