Who picks up the earrings?

Yamai had noticed something glinting in the street on her way to school, and to her suprise saw it was a gorgeous earring. She bent down to pick it up, but not before glancing around to make sure nobody saw her debasing herself by taking something off the street.
"My lucky day," Yamai hummed to herself, inspecting it. It looked expensive, and after a quick buff on her skirt she threaded it into her ears. It was a shame she couldn't spot the other earing anywhere around, but fortunately single earrings were fashionable enough.
"I can't wait to see what Komi thinks of these! Maybe she'll even want to conpliment me!" She exclaimed with stars in her eyes, and started coming up with a suitably inpressive-yet-modest backstory to explain where she got them from.
