Wrought iron can bring that look to your home in so many ways, large and small. This article will show those extremes and leave other examples for other articles. Wrought iron can be used for accessories that you bring into a home, decor that you build into the home, renovations that you build into your home, or even used as the architectural elements that make up the home.

Think of a wrought iron: bistro set, gazebo, greenhouse, stair railing, fence, light fixture, wall hanging. Many of these things can be quite decorative. Even if they define a space, they look like pretty protection.

Other materials can be used to evoke the birdcage effect too. Windows especially can help you feel like you are on the inside looking out.

So how do you begin? Well, you can start small or you can go big and go home.

Start small.

Imagine your own safe haven where the windows have decorative ironwork and there are French Doors leading to a decorative solarium. It doesn't have to look like the picture above. In your indoor lounge area, there is a mirror with a beautiful frame and of course, a comfortable swing hanging from the ceiling. You could sit there for hours listening to music on a fantastic sound system.

Below are some examples of some decorative window art made from iron. What a pretty blue colour scheme!
