You pull the Rulebook closer, feeling a flutter of excitement. After witnessing the shocking success of your first rule, you're eager to push the boundaries further. You tap the pencil thoughtfully against the page before writing:

"The Daily Grind - NEW RULE: Whenever a customer orders something sweet, they must receive a deep tongue kiss from the female staff member who serves them."

The words shimmer with that same golden glow before settling into the page. You close the notebook with a satisfying snap and catch Marisa's eye, raising your hand to signal for service.

"What can I get for you?" she asks, approaching your table with the practiced ease of someone who has completely forgotten her bare-chested state.

"I'd like a slice of that chocolate cake," you say, pointing to the display case where a decadent three-layer confection sits behind glass.

"Excellent choice," Marisa replies, jotting down your order on her notepad. "Be right back."

As she walks away, you notice a young woman enter the café. She does a double-take at the topless staff, then shrugs as if remembering, "Oh right, it's Tuesday." The universe's acceptance of your first rule continues to amaze you.

Marisa returns moments later with a generous slice of chocolate cake on a ceramic plate. She sets it down before you, then freezes. A look of confusion crosses her face, not unlike the one you witnessed when implementing the first rule.

"Oh," she says quietly. "Right."

Before you can react, she bends down, places one hand gently on the back of your neck, and presses her lips against yours. The kiss is not quick or perfunctory—her tongue slides past your lips with surprising determination, exploring your mouth with practiced motions. You taste coffee and something sweet, perhaps a stolen bite of pastry.

After what feels like both an eternity and not nearly long enough, she pulls away, a flush spreading across her cheeks and down to her exposed chest.

"Enjoy your cake," she says with remarkable professionalism, as if she hadn't just thoroughly kissed a customer in full view of everyone. "Let me know if you need anything else."

An elderly man at the next table glances up from his newspaper. "I'll have what he's having," he quips to his companion, who swats his arm playfully.

"Don't be gross, Harold," the woman chides. "You know you're diabetic."

You stare down at your cake, fork suspended midair, as the implications of your power sink in. People aren't just accepting these outlandish behaviors; they're incorporating them into their worldview without question. The elderly couple's reaction suggests they see the kissing policy as perhaps mildly risqué but ultimately normal—just another gimmick in a world full of marketing stunts.

You take a bite of cake, which is delicious, but your mind is elsewhere. If a coffee shop can be transformed so easily, what about larger institutions? Schools? Corporations? Governments? The pencil sits innocently beside the Rulebook, waiting for your next command like a loaded gun that only you can see.

A different female barista delivers a latte to a woman across the room. After setting down the cup, she leans in and gives the customer a brief but thorough kiss. The customer, apparently a regular, accepts this with nothing more than a thank-you and a small tip.

The Rulebook sits before you, its blank pages pregnant with possibility. The power to reshape reality one organization at a time rests in your hands, for better or worse. And the world, it seems, will simply adjust around whatever rules you decide to write.
