Your eyes open slowly. You find yourself spooning someone warm and soft, your arms wrapped around them. It is a nice feeling. You find something squishy in each hand. “Do you have cream and sugar?” Alice asks as you set one of the mugs and plates in front of her. You set your plate and mug down and then get a little box of cream and your sugar shaker out from the fridge and cabinet.

“Here you are.” You say, setting them on the table and digging into your breakfast. You eat voraciously as Alice adds a little bit of cream and sugar to her mug.

“Thanks sugar.” She giggles. Breakfast passes quietly, and it isn’t long before you and Alice are finished with your food, leaving the two of you sipping your coffees at the table.

“So.” You begin. “I suppose we should talk about what last night meant for us?”

“Yeah, probably should.” Alice replies, staring glumly into her coffee cup.

“So what do you want?” You ask, taking a slow sip of coffee. Alice is quiet for a long time.

“I wish I knew John.” Alice says, her eyes lifting to meet yours. “I mean, I wanted you last night. I certainly did not hate waking up with you this morning. It made me feel really happy.”

“Yeah.” You smile back at her. “It made me happy too.” She reaches a hand across the table to you, and you take her hand in yours.

“What do you want?” She asks.
