Loosing 10 articles of clothing would suck, but at least they'd go to charity. And her financial situation wasn't as bad since she started saving so much money on the little things. She'd be ok. Two challenges would be manageable, based on how they'd gone so far. Being naked would suck, but it was just 1 day and she wasn't working today. Mammon played EBOOK next for 22 points. She felt like he could have done more, but the E was very conveniently beside the PW tile, well, two away from it. It would be pretty easy to put a word there now.

Indeed, she could see one right away. Unfortunately except for an X and a D, all her tiles were 1 point. It just wouldn't be worth it to go there without using her X, but there was only one word she could see that would fit. If she chose to pass, well, Mammon probably wouldn't.

What was she going to do?

Time was ticking down. She couldn't think too hard about it.

Wait, she had all those gems!

Just as time was about to expire she threw the tiles down, having spent 20 gems to avoid triggering the punishment.

If she played just a 4 letter word she could use the triple point that was available. It wouldn't be great...but 24 points? It might just be enough.

Mammon usually played instantly, but this time it didn't. It was like it was struggling to find a word to beat her. Then finally the letters fell on the screen.
