Wonder Vixen

Velvet Vixen stands blinking through the smoke, her arms folded awkwardly over her chest as she tries to adjust to the new outfit—a sleek purple-and-yellow Batgirl suit, hugging her figure tighter than her usual costume ever dared.

The cowl fits snugly over her red hair, and the cape flutters behind her as she shuffles in place, trying not to let Mirage see how much she doesn’t hate it.

Madame Mirage struts around her slowly, tapping her wand against her chin.

“Mmm. That cowl does something to those cheekbones.”

“And the utility belt? Pure misdirection. Yvonne Craig would’ve devoured you.”

Velvet Vixen glances away, pink rising to her cheeks.

“Stop looking at me like that…”

“Like what?” Mirage grins. “Like I just pulled my dream girl off the TV screen and brought her to life?”

She waves her wand again, humming a theme-song melody as a new swirl of smoke rises.

“Let’s see what else your hero closet is hiding, shall we?”
