Chapter 71

Vain
After lunch then...?
With Brandon and Ashley, back in their room
With most of the people seeming to split up after lunch, Ashley was surprisingly quick to sneak away with Brandon before any of them got stuck in a lengthy conversation with some of the others - or being **** to take care of the dishes.
"Mmm, what now...?" He asked her with feigned suspicion, after she'd pulled him into their room and kissed him lovingly on the mouth. Not that his eventual worries would be entirely unwarranted for, though it didn't manage to ruin her excellent mood.
"I just wanted a little time to ourselves..." She smiled at him suggestively, but then bit her own lip as she realized she'd had to tell him a little sooner than she'd first intended. After all that happened, she found that she couldn't quite even kiss him with a clean conscience. "And have a little chat, perhaps...?"
"Yeah, sure." He was quick to agree - as he could see that hint of hesitation in her eyes -, but then swept her up in his arms for another and much deeper kind of kiss before allowing her to continue. It seemed like the best way to go, and it sure had the desired effect as he found her clinging to his lips like she'd never let him go.
"Dammit, Brandon! You're too good for me!" She laughed a little - while quite out of breath -, when they finally let go again. But then she sighed a little as she looked up into his face, and he could see the hint of regret behind all the love for him in those beautiful blue eyes. "I've just been so stupid..."
"Now, why would you say that...?" He asked, and was suddenly reminded of his own mistakes over those last few days. Whatever she'd done, it could hardly have been any worse than his chase in the water with Heather, or his accidental groping of Vicky.
She actually had been doing something just a little bit worse though - at least according to herself -, and Brandon listened attentively while his girlfriend told her story of seeing him in the lake with Heather, and then getting lured into making out with Kurt at the look-out point.
"Nothing happened between me and Heather, Ashley..." He finally defended himself, though he also confessed it had been pretty close. Then he blushed a little - as he remembered his other incident with Vicky -, and cautiously told her how he'd managed to confuse them for eachother. "You really do look a lot alike from behind..."
"She actually wore it...?!" Ashley just stared at him and then burst into laughing. "Oh, god! I wish I'd seen that!"
"I bet we made some really weird faces..." Brandon smiled at her, and was glad she could actually laugh about it - even after he told her he'd nearly kissed the girl as well. And if she was so easy to forgive his mistakes, he couldn't see how he'd be holding her own against her.
"You're really too good for me..." Ashley repeated when he kissed her again, but seemed like there was still something else on her mind. "He managed to sneak up on me this morning as well, and he wouldn't take a no for an answer..."
"Luckily, Heather and Zack was there though" She continued after a moment's pause, as she could see the worried look on his face. He wasn't getting mad though, but he most certainly would if Kurt had actually got through with those plans. "They stopped him though, before he could... do anything nasty..."
"And that's why he left...?" Brandon filled out for her, and sighed in relief. If only he'd known about that guys intentions, then he'd never even left him alone with one of the girls again. He didn't want to think about that right now however, and they both sat quiet on the bed - just holding each other tight, until he could see that soft smile having returned to Ashley's lips again.
"Are you sure you never even kissed them...?" She asked him with a curious gleam in her eye, and then surprised him by cursing softly as he reassured her again that he'd never got as far with either one of her friends. "Dammit, Brandon...! I'm the worst of us now...!"
"Well, I guess you'll just owe me one..." He kissed her gently on the lips again, and then smiled as he was making her laugh even more. She refused to agree that just a couple of kisses would be enough to atone for her sins however - and seemed more than willing to give him something more -, but surprised him with an excited gleam in her eyes as he tried to make a joke of it. "I mean, you really can't blame me for making out with someone else now...?"
"Oh, Brandon!" She giggled and kissed him again, and it was really hard to tell if she was joking or not, but what she was saying next had quite the effect inside of his pants. "You can make out with whoever you want to! Just as long as it's staying between friends, and you can tell me all about it..."
What's next then... What about the others...?
