Winner gets a wish

"How about this," Matt said as he skimmed through the game catalogue, finding a brawler game. "We play a game, winner gets a wish."

Jake pondered this for a moment. "Okay," he said and begun typing.

"Wait, we haven't played yet," Matt said with a hint of displeasure, awaiting an explanation.

"I want to see if I can make it happen after the fact," Jake said as he turned the screen around to show Matt what he'd written.

'Winner of a game gets a wish fulfilled,' the text said. "Automated wish dispenser," Jake said with a smile.

Matt pondered the text for a moment before shrugging. "Alright, but if it doesn't work we'll write the wish in manually."

Jake nodded, pressed enter and sat down in the couch. "Then may the best gamer win," he said with a smile as he picked up the other controller and checked the battery levels.

"Easy pickings," Matt said with a chuckle as he picked his favorite fighter. "Warmup round? best out of three?"

"Warm-up round and single match with three lives," Jake counter-offered as he picked his fighter. "And random map for both."

"Alright," Matt said and adjusted the settings according to their plan. "May the best gamer win," he said as he pressed Start and the match began loading.
