Chapter 26 by Zingiber Zingiber

Roll +CUNNING(+2) to practice your talents and narrate the results.

Wild talent overflow! Choose your fumble.

Nadia dismisses her complex web of enchantments. "Top that, Eric," she tells you with a smile.

You take up your wand and start at the beginning. Working quickly through the warm-up exercises, you start on the more demanding enchantments. The flow of magic from your will through your wand is energizing, even arousing. The pulsing in your member starts from a pleasant accompaniment to your magical acts, but as you engage stronger energies in more complicated combinations, the throbbing embodiment of your arousal becomes a distraction.

But you match Nadia, enchantment by enchantment, throwing in a little extra style just to stretch yourself a little.

Finally you come up to the one that Nadia concluded with, the Shimmering Cloak.

Weaving an intricate pattern of light and shade, heat and cold, firm and yielding, and wrapping them in a glittering rainbow of colors is hardly grand magic, but it's flashy and demanding, and shows off an enchanter's weak points in any imbalances of the pattern.

You smile, looking at the Shimmering Cloak taking shape at the direction of your will by the instrument of your wand.

⚁⚂ + 2 = 7.

Your wild talent overdoes things. Gain +1 XP. Describe how you fumble a near-complete enchantment with backlash on you or on Nadia. If it's you, take a CONSEQUENCE and GO TO THE INFIRMARY. If it's Nadia, take a CONSEQUENCE and roll an ENCOUNTER with her to make things right. If you Miss on the ENCOUNTER, choose either "Nadia becomes your ENEMY" or "You have to GET OUT OF TROUBLE."

Gain +1 XP and choose the target of your backlash.

You now have 3 XP.

You have a FAVOR from Miss Wormwood, and a FRIEND, Aurelia Sterling, your Enchantments teacher.

Nadia tilts her head, indicating with her glance where the pattern is out of balance.

There's one strand of firm hot light that just won't wrap itself into the pattern correctly. One little tug will set it straight.

But the tug pulls the strand back through your wand and the Shimmering Cloak goes to pieces all at once, spattering you and Nadia with bolts of wild magic.

Choose yourself or Nadia. Describe the backlash and resolve the effects.
