Why is this part of the training again ?

"What ?" Both you and Rei exclaimed simultaneously. "A dragon hunting quest ?!"

"Indeed." Simply answered Lady Melda, as she took the quest notice, before thanking the receptionnist and adding. "This is to train your teamwork, and it will greatly help the swordsman of the group to continue mastering their swordsmanship."

You immediately noticed her voluntary omission of your name, instead referring to you as "swordsman", a generic enough title that could mean a lot of things, the first coming to your mind being that it could make it look like you were employed by Rei and Douma. Even though it was not really according to your role as the party leader, you could not say that this was not a good idea.

Before you started to get going, the receptionnist flashed the five of you with a smile, saying right after.

"I wish you a good quest, and may you come back unscathed."

To which you responded with a nod along with both Ladies, while Rei and Douma waved their hands at her as you started walking. When you were far enough away, Lady Melda said, like she just remembered she had to talk about it.

"We will be going west of Molsis. The location of the quest is five days from here by foot. Thankfully we prepared food and water for the journey, so we will not have to restock ourselves in Molsis until we come back there."

"Okay..." You answer, talking for the second time of the day. "So we have to hunt a dragon, which means we essentially have to either kill it or capture it... Without ending up scorched to the bone too, talk about a bad idea."

"Do not worry, everything will be fine. Kogai and I are here if you end up in trouble, and I think the reward might help you and your party decide yourself. The reward is fifty gold coins per member of the party who will fulfill the quest."

As expected from Rei, her eyes lighted up when she heard the reward, indicating clearly that fifty gold coins was a big amount, an indication that even you didn't need, since you clearly remembered the two platinum coins given to you as a reward for succesfully fending off the Chaos Legion from Noldrin's surroundings. This example was enough of an example for you to clearly see the value of fifty golden coins. Half a platinum coin was not an offer you would reject this easily after all.

Well, now that Rei got excited by the idea of getting fifty gold coins for this quest, her tail wagging wildly just at the thought of it, neither you nor Douma could say no, because why does she looks so adorable when she's like that ?! With that question in mind, you whispered to yourself.

"Why can't we decide anything when money gets involved..."
