Why is the ground shaking ?

This scene was strangely familiar to you : as Shirayuki and Atsura landed, the latter landing smoothly even while bound by the glowing chains, surprising you, and Rei, quite a bit, the ground started to shake. The shaking was violent, and happened every two seconds or so, like something big and heavy was walking, and obviously it only grew stronger with each shake. It only took the ground shaking one time for Shirayuki to calmly say :

"Here it comes. Please try and get his attention while I unbind Atsura."

"You want us to die ?" You answer half-jokingly, before adding with a sigh. "Guess we'll do what we can."

It took a fair bit of time before you could see the cause of the shakes though, and even if you were expecting something big, you weren't exactly expecting to see just rocks... Yeah, you can't define it better than that : it was just a strange assembly of rocks, making a kind of humanoid creature, with four limbs, an head, a humanoid body, but made out of rocks, and it was big, a bit more than five times your height and with limbs made of rocks that were a meter large.

Seeing it made both you and Rei freeze in shock for a moment, but hearing Atsura's chains move as Shirayuki tried her best to free him made you recover, as you were here to help someone get out of a trap and you didn't actually need to fight that thing, then you yelled at Rei :

"Rei ! We need to distract this thing !"

"But how can we do that ?" She asked, in genuine fear. She seemed overwhelmed by the guardian you had to distract, and you understood why, as you were struggling to keep it together yourself, but you still needed her to help you in any way she could for now.

"Don't you know Basic Illusion, or something like that ? It could really be helpful right now !"

That seemed to remind her of something, as she quickly answered to you, her vixen ears perked up and looking a bit more excited now for some reason.

"I know !" She yelled. "I know another illusion spell, Basic Invisibility ! I can use that on them !"

"Just do your thing !" You yell back, as the elemental was walking towards the four of us, and you muttered. "It's not like this thing isn't close to us."

Afterwards, as Rei got closer to Shirayuki and Atsura to cast her spell, the former still trying to unbind the latter, but it seemed to be really hard, you sprinted to the right of the elemental, shouting at it to get its attention, which worked wonder sadly for you, before it lifted one of its arms, throwing right after the big rock that was on its end at you. You barely managed to dodge it, as even if it was thrown with quite the strength, it didn't go quick enough for you to be hit by it, thankfully. You then were able to hear Rei shout "Basic Illusion !" as she finished casting her spell, before you glanced to their side, not seeing Atsura or Shirayuki anymore. You didn't know if this mosnter was able to see through the spell, you didn't even know if this monster could see at all, but you couldn't do much more, as you continued yelling at it to keep its attention, while dodging the rocks it throwed at you as best as you could.

When she finished her spell, Rei started running too, and she was quite fast from what you could see, as she ran on the left side of the monster, yelling at him too to get its attention. She even used a Basic Illusion to create a hazy clone of herself running the opposite way to her. The clone wasn't really good, and the elemental didn't even seem to notice it, choosing instead to launch rocks at the both of you since it had two arms, rocks that you both managed to dodge again.

But the longer you ran, the more exhausted you became, and it happened quickly, so you were slowing down more and more, struggling heavily to keep Rei's pace. You needed a break, and Rei saw it when she glanced at you, before starting to yell even more at the elemental to try and lure it away from you, which worked better than you thought, as it turned its rocky back to you, facing the running vixen before starting to throw more rocks at her.

Meanwhile, you stopped moving completely, still standing, as you were catching your breath, still keeping an eye on the monster to make sure that it wouldn't try to take you by surprise, even if you were starting to think that it wasn't all that smart....

...And you couldn't be more wrong, as your eyes widened when you saw the monster suddenly leap, all the rocks making its shape lifting in the air for a moment, before falling back on the ground, making a deafening noise and shaking the ground to an **** level, making both Rei and you fall, before you watched in terror as it lifted one of its arms, to then swing at you.

Seeing your end get closer, you shut your eyes...
