Why Is Love Like A Battlefield...?
It was 4 days into the march when one of the scouts comes back with a report that up ahead a battle was in progress between a band of hunters carrying the banner of Vlaridok, (The next village,) and a group Adventurers! The whole group rushed to join the fighting!
"Squad 1 and 2, Flanking Maneuvers, Squad 3 with me, support casters, stay in the rear, everyone else, hang back and stay out of sight." Gomlech barked as the whole tribe broke into a run. "Also, Flame, if you would be helpful enough to pick up some big rocks and drop them on the heads of their support casters, that would be fabulous!"
When the group approached the site of the battle they found 10 hunters, (mostly orcs and goblins but led by a female Ogre,) Dueling with 5 adventures. Another adventurer lay **** but stable behind the group's front line: but 4 orcs already sprawled on the hard ground of the clearing, dead...
"For Rugnash!" Gomlech cried, rushing in with his Macuahuitl and bringing down the most lightly armored of the adventures front line with a single blow!
Flame apparently had decided that it was not beneath his dignity to drop large rocks on people's heads in order to stay out of range of the enemy, and in mere moments both of the remaining support casters had their heads dashed open by chunks of falling granite the size of Kurvannug's head...
"Surrender or Die!" The ogre with the other group bellowed at the remaining two warriors, but the response was not what she had hopped for
"**** BEFORE DISHONOR!" The leader of the group, (a male human ranger in a green cloak and wielding two swords,) screamed back, and beheaded another orc...
The rest of the battle was a vicious melee with the two remaining adventures fighting back to back, but though they had the advantage in terms of Skill, Valor, and Cunning, In the end, only raw numbers mattered.
When at last the dust settled, five more members of the Vlaridok hunting party were dead, and two of Kurvannug's tribe had also fallen, but none "of name".
"Thank you for intervening strangers, we owe you our lives!" The ogre, who seemed to be the leader of their band, declared.
"If you wish to help pay your debt, you can join our band and travel with us: We could use a strong group of hunters!" Kurvannug said, and the survivors smiled.
"Gladly!" The ogre stated, and soon they were again under way.
However, NOT before they looted the adventures of their equipment! Most of it was now ruined by their messy deaths, or bespelled against looting by anyone who had a hand in thier demise/any unhuman, but each of them had a few Items the group could use...
Authors Note:
Y'all were extremely lucky this time, this could have gone far worse for you...

Play As One Of The Classic 'Monster' Races From D&D In A World Where It's Humans & Their Allies Who Are Evil.
It is a generic Fantasy world, with one major difference: humans and the other classic protagonist races are evil, decadent, and corrupt, while the classic 'monsters' are noble and virtuous. You take on the role of one of those 'monsters' while they try to overcome the alliance of the 'Civilized' Races and free the world from their oppression.
