Chapter 13
by Nemo of Utopia
Onwards!
Riches Untold.
Going through the items of gear that the dead adventurers had which they were able to loot Kurvannug and co found the following items:
First is a carved Jade Idol weighing about 13 pounds in the shape of an over-emphasized and circumcised human phallus. It radiate's a faint magical aura, but you don't know what it does.
Second is another scroll with writing on it in Elvish: looking exactly the same as the previous one you discovered except for minor variations in the vellum and so forth.
Third we have a vial containing a potion, but not one the group knows what it is or does. It glows with a faint golden light and the potion itself looks like it's made from liquid gold.
Fourth, there is a finely wrought long-sword, the blade of which glows slightly with a wavering aura which resembles the northern lights. When tested it proves to have only minor enchantment, granting a +1 to attack and damage in excess of what a long-sword normaly does.
Fifth, there are 2 potions of Cure Light Wounds, each glowing a faint but healthy green.
Sixth we come to a large men's ring in the shape of a silver feather rolled into a circle. If dropped the ring floats serenely to the ground just like an actual feather.
Last but not least the group acquires approximately 89 Gold Pieces in assorted coins, divided up into 5 Platinum, 14 Gold, 141 Silver and 1106 Copper coins.
Then there is the matter of the prisoner.
The **** Cat-folk Rogue is not an unattractive wench, but that sort of thing is the last thing on everyone's minds. Attractive or not she is an Adventurer. That means she has to die.
Some advise dispatching her out of hand, others, notably Mintrachank, sugest letting the men have a little "Fun" with her before you send her on to the afterlife, but Kurvannug rejects that second plan. However the idea had enough popularity that she had to give a reason for that decision, and though it's disgusting she has one tailor made for the occasion: The Shebhep Ritual.
The Shebhep Ritual is one of the greater rites of Lovitar, and rarely performed. To conduct it, you must capture a worthy enemy 'Hero', and return them to full strength. Then 3 other people, one a mage, one a priest(ess), and one a warrior who uses no magic, must fight the enemy tied at the ankles to three rocks surrounding a forth rock at the center of the triangle to which the "hero" is tied at the ankles. If the hero cuts the ropes holding the other three they have won, and must be given healing, the best weapons and armor of the tribe, and food for 30 days: then sent on their way. If the three champions win, they gain a blessing from Lovitar for 30 days based on the worthiness of thier opponent: or similarly a curse if their opponent was unworthy...
Questions to vote on this time...
Who will face the Rogue?
1: Kurvannug, Gomlech, and Pimlul.
2: Kurvannug, Vol, and Ful.
3: Kurvannug, Gravgord, and Vagmogvok.
4: Some other Combination... (Say What In Your Comment.)
EDIT: Question Dux: What Items will the duelists use for advantage?
A: Everything But the Kitchen Sink!
B: Just Magic Weapons And Armor...
C: A few potions, nothing more.
D: Not Even That, strictly Mundane Gear.
E: Actually, they're going to give the magic items to the Rogue!
F: Something Else...
(Some of those answers may seem illogical, but remember, the more challenging the combat the greater the blessings if you win, and if the captive has no chance at all you don't get a blessing, you get a curse instead...)
Author's Notes:
Hi dear readers, I'm baaaaack! After months of writers block I've finally figured out how to proceed! Get ready for more thrills, spills, jeers, and japes in the comming month or two! (But also for us to start with a kind of slow bit as we play out our first big "Duel Scene"...)

[Orcs And Outposts] (Multi-Quest: Storytellers Welcome!)
Play As One Of The Classic 'Monster' Races From D&D In A World Where It's Humans & Their Allies Who Are Evil.
It is a generic Fantasy world, with one major difference: humans and the other classic protagonist races are evil, decadent, and corrupt, while the classic 'monsters' are noble and virtuous. You take on the role of one of those 'monsters' while they try to overcome the alliance of the 'Civilized' Races and free the world from their oppression.
