While pursuing Akeno, Matsuda stumbles upon the other side of the world.

Entering the Occult Research Club, I see my target all alone as expected.

"Yo Akeno, I've been meaning to talk to you." I gripe, irritated at how I've somehow missed actually fucking her. She always seemed to slip away before it could happen.

She smiles neutrally at me from where she is fixing tea. "Ara, Matsuda. Nice to see you. What is it you wanted to talk about?" She asks.

"Look, I know I already gave you your rank as a 5 star girl along with the other club members, but that doesn't mean you can just avoid evaluation. Now I want to know why you are avoiding me and passing up my attempts to do my duty." I demand of her.

She doesn't change her smile, but she seems to tense from where she is standing. "Oh, you're just imagining things Matsuda. As soon as I finish making tea, we can-"

"Nope! You are going to give me answers as to why you have such an issue with getting with me now. And you know why? Cause it's normal for you to do so!" I interrupt her with righteous fury...well, maybe not righteous.

She freezes before her face grows solemn. She sets her tea set aside and goes to sit on the couch. I sit opposite of her on the other couch.

"I suppose there is no avoiding it then. Alright, to start with the world isn't as mundane as you may think..."

*Supernatural Explanation and Backstory Skip*

"...and so that's why I don't want to get too close to men, or anyone really. I know I'm just trash, another abominable fallen angel. Even reincarnation into a devil didn't rid me of them." Akeno let's out a pair of black feathered wings, looking at them with loathing and self-hate. She then turns back to me and gives a sad, broken smile. "So now that you know, go ahead. Call me any manner and number of insults. Spit on me like the scum I am. Take away the 5 star status you so wrongfully gave to me."

I sit there, blown back by the bombshells she dropped on me and then unloading her own backstory about her parents and her hatred of fallen angels, and self-hatred for her heritage. I was so not ready to hear that. I just expected some half-assed excuse why she didn't want to let me fuck her...or that she was gay.

Looking at her almost soullessness and depression, I realize I need to say something to fix this. I just broke Akeno Himejima...and not in the fun way. I kept running through my head on what to say, but nothing seemed good enough.

'Cmon bro, channel your inner harem protagonist!' I think to myself.

"That's bullshit." I say to her. This catches her attention as she looks at me wide-eyed. "Akeno, you are far more than just a pair of wings. You are one of the most beautiful people in the school. You are the queen or whatever of Rias's Peerage. All of the Occult research club and I wouldn't trade you for the world Akeno. And you are definitely a 5 star. Heck, if you get any prettier I may have to create a 6th star group. Understand Akeno-those wings don't define who you are. You do, and I wouldn't trade that for anything." I say, feeling a bit drained. Channeling my inner harem protagonist is a bit tiring.

Akeno stares wide eyes at me. For a moment I can see mounting hope in her eyes. But then it crumbled and she went back to her depressed state. "That's kind of you to say Matsuda, but we both know it's all lies-"

"Forget it! Akeno, it's normal that you were inspired by my previous speech and gain a newfound sense of confidence rooted in your newly born love for me. It's normal for you love me for being there for you in your time of weakness and liking you for you." I say, not having the energy to do this the natural way.

Like a switch was flipped, Akeno smiles, staring at me with adoration and love. "Matsuda, thank you so much. I don't know how to thank you. Although..." She smirk sultrily at me, causing my boner to shoot up from where it was sulking from her sad story. "...I do believe I have an overdue 'evaluation' to do with you, teacher~"

Grinning, I stand up and head towards my newest conquest. I'll think about all that other crap I heard later. Maybe tell Motohama if I remember.
