Where the hell are you?

As you stood up you could hear the whispers getting louder and louder with each passing moment, the forest seemed alive, you could hear the cawing of crows and then. SNAP! Your weren’t alone in the forest not be a long shot.

Checking your pockets your found nothing on your person not your pocket watch, no wand, no black book, nothing your were completely on your own. The loud cawing startled you so you ran and you ran. Your lungs burned, your legs hurt, your mind was chaos the whispers only got louder.

You closed your eyes “Fear is only an illusion of the mind” you said repeating it to yourself like a mantra. A flock of bats burst out of nowhere flying right into you. Running harder your kept running as you heard twigs and branches snap left and right. Something was hunting you something was out there. You ran harder forcing your legs run faster and faster. Your breathing was erratic and unstable your lungs screamed out for air. Then your foot was caught a tree root and then you went down. A soft thump you fell face first into the ground.

The forest was silent as you laid prostate on the ground. Your head hurting as you felt a cold trickle of blood slowly stream from your forehead. You heard footsteps before your heard your own voice speak. “You know Nathan you really have shitty luck don’t you? What are the odds that your uncles dropped you off in the one place where even the best rune-master can’t stop me from breaking out.”

You slowly looked up to see a dark reflection of yourself standing in front of you broken shackles on his legs and wrists. “Its not every day the universe gives me a chance to come out and play.” your reflection said nonchalantly his arms gesturing to everything around him. He took a deep breath and sighed contently “You smell that? That my friend is fear, raw, wild fear the kind that makes spirits like me go crazy you know. Its like food for us you know. Humans for all the bravery you supposedly have your quite scared sacks of shit when it comes down to it.”

He smiled crouching down to eye level with you. “Inside that head of yours I am a prison bound and tormented by time in your stupid body.” He said poking his finger on your bleed forehead. “In there I am trapped, locked away, thrown away like yesterday’s garbage but your in my domain now Nathan welcome to hell!” He said with a smilie. Your tried to crawl away but you were exhausted tired you wanted nothing more than to close your eyes.

You tried crawl dragging yourself by your hands your body felt like a lead weight and weighed a million times more than that. As you stretched your hand out your reflection stepped onto your hand slowly crushing it under the weight of his shoes. “Its quite rude to leave someone’s house with showing them proper hospitality I wouldn't want to be a bad host now would I?” Your reflection slowly walked behind you before grabbing your legs as your body went limp from exhaustion. “Come on Nathan lets go have some fun.” He said as darkness over took you.
