During this time, they have seized roughly 30 scouting ships from Marley and also be introduced to the group known as the Anti-Marleyan Volunteers, who helped the island's inhabitants to modernize with some **** help from the Marleyan prisoners they captured from those ships.

Aside from being offered by the so-called 50 Year Plan of Zeke, they also learned from Yelena, the leader of the Volunteers, that Marley was, and still is, engaged in a war against multiple nations at the moment. When requested about the names of these nations and their locations, Yelena replied that they are part of the coalition known as the Mid-East Allied Forces and they located far south on the peninsula near Marley.

As the government is debating to join this war or not by having the nation introduced by the Volunteers, Hizuru, to serve as the arbitrator and translator and be bewildered at the new geographical knowledge called as the peninsula, Eren is preoccupied with what he witnessed after he kissed Historia's hand that day.
