Ella puts on the most innocent voice she can “Rena? What’s on your mind? What’s in that apartment?”

Rena blushes a bit “Am I that obvious?”

Ella steps in front of her “a bit, is there something there you need to do. Please don’t hold back cause of me. The last thing I want to do is hold up your plans today.”

Rena rolls her eyes “your not holding up anything, that’s my Ex’s apartment. I’m just curious if he was there.” She glances back at it “I’m worried about him, his roommate told me he had been sulking in his room since we broke up.”

Ella could almost cry, it’s takes everything she’s got not the hug Rena right then and there. Up until this moment she was under the assumption that Rena hated everything about her, but somehow she still has feelings for her.

“T-that’s super sweet, do you still have feelings for him?”

Rena’s expression changed from that of a touch sorrow to a touch of annoyance.

“No, and I’ll warn you now, spreading around anything like that will do you no favors”

Ella is slightly taken aback by the sudden change in tone. She definitely hit a nerve, but should she keep going or back off?
