What point is there to lying?

Victoria sighed as she hung her head, wiping a tear away from her eye. "I don't see what the point would be in lying to you, Max." She said, "It's all true. I would go back in time and be nicer to you. I do think you're beautiful. And I..." She took a deep, shaky breath, "I think that I'm in love with you."

Max blinked for a few seconds, taking this all in. She opened her mouth to say something, but Victoria cut her off as she continued.

"But I also know that I'm just wasting my time." She said, "I know that you hate me, and you know what? I don't blame you. I was a colossal bitch to you, Rachel, and Chloe tonight. Every day, I was a bitch to you three! Hell! I bet I was one to you in that timeline where we all got skunked, wasn't I?!"

"Well," Max admitted as she looked down, "you were constantly saying that you hated all of us for it happening. And you did blame me and Rachel for getting skunked because Rachel suggested we go streaking and I couldn't rewind time fast enough."

"See?!" Victoria shouted, "And I bet it was actually all my fault, wasn't it?!"

"I mean, you did scream when you -"

"There! Right there!" Victoria shouted, on the verge of crying again, "That is more than enough reasoning to hate my guts! And I saw the way you looked at me when I... You know. You were disgusted at what you saw!"

"No I wasn't! I mean, yeah, I was hella surprised. Shocked even, but I wasn't -"

"Yes you were!" Victoria said, her voice cracking as she was unable to stop the tears from flowing down her face. "You said it yourself! You 'have two gorgeous girls'. Why the hell would you want a jealous, cruel hearted, evil..."

Victoria turned away, loudly sobbing into her hands. "Please just go away, Max. Leave me al-"

Victoria's words died as she felt a pair of arms wrap around her and a towel brushing against her bare skin, looking up to see Max hugging her tightly.
