What if an ancient gemstone housing a wolf spirit has BIG plans, is excavated?

In a dusty old castle buried underground, a glowing gemstone is sitting on a lone throne. The gem is the size of a fist and in the shape of a wolf claw. It silently sits there until a deep voice speaks.

'How long has it been since I've been sealed inside of this accursed gem. A decade? A century? Perhaps even longer than that. No matter how long I wait, I can tell my freedom is nigh. Once I am free of this place, I can put my plans into action.' The voice chuckles as the glow then dies down.

Meanwhile, at Fairy Tail....

Natsu, Gray, Lucy, Juvia and Erza are browsing the quest board looking for a job to pass the time. "Ugh, all these jobs are lame. There's nothing interesting here." "Quit whining and pick a job already. I want to get at least one more job done before we go to our date tonight." said Lucy as she paced back and forth. "Yeah, yeah. Hmm, oh here's one that sounds fun." Natsu picked up the job offer. "Well, what is it?" Erza asked. "It wants us to help excavate some ruins and then scout out and clear them of any monsters or traps." "Sounds simple enough." "I agree." Natsu took the flier and handed to Mirajane who then got everything ready, paper wise so they were good to go. As they headed out, Lucy couldn't shake it, but she had a bad feeling about what was going to happen during this quest, and she was right. Something BIG was going to happen not just to them but all over Magnolia.
