What happened

"H-how did this happen," Asuna said in near tears as she desperately tried to cover her breasts and vagina.

"I don't know," Kirito replied desperately searching through SAO's menu for a solution. Even though they had already been told the rules, Kirito had attempted to access his inventory or cancel the quest. Unfortunately, both options were unavailable during this ninjitsu test. However, in spite of these clearly defined rules, something still didn't add up.

"What kind of quest is this?!" Asuna cried, "Stripping up naked! Doesn't that break some kind of game development laws?

"It does," Kirito said still searching the game options for a way to save his and his wife's modesty, "While Sword Art Online is marked for nudity, players can't be forcibly stripped. At least not without consent."

"Then it must be come kind of glitch then, right? After all we didn't consent to anything like this when we got the quest!" Kirito suddenly stopped typing on the menu. Eye's widened in some kind of realization. "What is it Kirito-kun?"

Kirito frantically resumed his menu searching however this time it was clear he was after something specific. Curious Asuna, still trying to cover as much of her bare skin as possible, shuffled herself beside Kirito to look at his menu. Finally, Kirito made it to a specific settings option and was immediately consumed with shock and terror. Asuna seeing the setting felt similar terror and quickly searched her settings to find the same thing her husband had.

In SAO there was a hidden settings menu with all kinds of crazy options. One of which was the Ethics Code slider where a player could deactivate the games protections from immoral actions. Early into their relationship the pair had pushed their Ethics Code protections all the way down so they could make love for the first time (and many times after that), but afterwards they had never turned it back on.

Asuna covered ger face with her hands as she blushed crimson red. "We left out Ethics Codes off."

"Yep," Kirito said gritting his teeth in embarrassment, "and by doing so we basically told the game we're willing to get naked whenever."

"So, if Ethics Code was toggled on, we would have kept our underwear?"

"Yeah," Kirito said looking down at his naked body, "Or they would have given us some kinda basic ninja garb without armor or abilities. And the worst part."

"Ethics Code toggling is one of the menu options being blocked by the quest." Asuna said continuing Kirito's thought.

The pair remained silent for a second. Getting increasingly red faced as time went on. Not only were they stuck naked in the middle of nowhere, but it was their own fault. Which somehow made the whole thing more embarrassing.

'This couldn't get any worse!' The couple thought in unison.
