What Happens Here, Stays Here!

"I should stop you young people from having having even consensual sex in my house," Betty's dad said.

"Now, Hal," Alice said to her husband, "Betty said everything was alright."

"But I'am liable."

"It only looks bad," she said, using her daughter's words to reassure him. And herself.

"It certainly does."

Her parents and Archie were in the entry hall and Veronica, Moose, and Reggie were in the living room. And Betty was in-between. "We can't send them out of here! I'm sorry, Dad, but you're right. And you're already liable...because of me. I'm so sorry! All I wanted was to give Archie all of my love!

"And now, these friends of mine want...uh...." Betty knew that what Veronica and the others wanted was NOT love. Not the kind she had for Archie. And that increased the liability potential. "Veronica! You won't tell anybody about what goes on in this house, right!?" she pleaded.

"Spoil sport," Veronica frowned. "How am I going to make Midge jealous, then?" she grumbled, her devious mind already looking for a plan. She smiled, "Oh, Moosiekins...."

"You, too, Moose. Swear by all that you hold dear - as dear as you hold onto Midge - that you will never reveal what goes on in my house: Even accidentally!!" Okay, that was a stretch, but she knew that the guy was prone to saying stupid things and she was grasping at any straw. "It's a total secret!"

"Right! It's so secret, I won't even tell myself!"

"What saps!" Reggie laughed.

"Reggie, you - especially you - will not say anything for whatever reason what happens in the Cooper house!! And if you do, not only will you have to answer to the Coopers, but Archie, Moose, and Veronica!" she threatened.

"I'll send you to the hospital even worse!" Moose told him.

"That's right!" Veronica told him. "You will do as Betty says, because I say you will. I will use the Lodge wealth and influence to see that you become and remain poor!"

Reggie shuddered. "Okay; okay! You guys take the fun out of everything."

"And that goes for you and Archie, too," Hal said firmly.

"It had better," Reggie said with a sour face.

"Of course it does. Right, Archie? You and I will keep secret what happens here(?)"

"Right!" Archie agreed. And his stomach growled. Hal's stomach agreed.

"Oh, dear! It is lunchtime!" Alice said.

"Me and Jughead were on our way to Pop's," Archie told them.

"I'm a little famished myself," Betty said, and then felt even more hungry.

Alice hesitated, looking at the naked people in her home (and, Moose). "I could make us all something to eat."

"Veronica's hungry for something besides food!!" Reggie laughed.

"And Moose," Archie said.

"Reggie, you can stay out here with them. We want to enjoy our meal," Betty told him.

"Yes, Reggie," Veronica said, "You are terribly crude. I am sure Moose can teach you somethings about how to treat a lady."

"But Midge said I shouldn't treat her too much like a lady," Moose said, confused.

Alice led the rest of them into the kitchen.
