What Am I Going To Do?

"So. What. The Goddess has been using me to knock up elven women. For what reason." I said rubbing my face. Can I go back to fighting Prince Warwick I thought.

"If I had to guess it would be to increase our numbers. Elves age slower then half elves like me and have many elven traits. Your off spring will still be elvish but will probably have several human characteristics as well. The war between the elves and humans took a heavy toll on the elves who mature more slowly."

"I take it you haven't told your mom." I looked at her. The queen hadn't said anything about it.

"Not yet, it will be awhile before I start to show." Seren nodded.

"What am I going to do?" I blew air through my bangs which was in serious need of cutting.

"What do you mean?"

"I had planned to marry Rose, raise or kid together."

"That you will have to figure out on your own but I myself don't expect anything from you." Seren replied.

"How can you say that?" I looked at her.

"We had sex, I got pregnant. I knew it might happen although I even used a spell to prevent it but still it happened. I like you... Maybe even more, but I can't ask you to choose me over someone else." She gave a little frown.

"What would you do when you start to show?" I asked.

"I am half elf so it is easy for me to lie and go spend a few months one of the groves. I don't know after that though..." Seren shook her head.

"I am not going to turn my back on you. We will figure it out together." I took her hand.

"What about Rose?" Seren asked.

"I didn't say it would be easy." I shook my head. Seren gave me a hug. I held her close and rubbed her back. I had no clue how I was going to handle this but I was certain I would figure it out. "Can you take us back to the castle courtyard so I can get the horse and meet me at the house." I said when she finally let go.

"Okay." She nodded and closed her eyes. We reappeared in the court yard as a few people turned to see what the noise was. I mounted my horse and headed for home taking the long way as Seren would beat me there in two jumps but it gave me time to think. I finally reached the house and rode my horse into the stable and tied her up. I headed inside where I saw Aurora and Seren sitting as they talked. Aurora got up and came over and gave me a hug.

"So you know?" She touched her belly.

"Yes." I nodded. We talked for a bit waiting for Rose to get back which thankfully wasn't long as she road back with Sura.

"As far as marriage goes you have a few choices. As a lord..." Rose began to say.

"Of a bunch of trees." I joked.

"As a lord the smartest move would be for you to marry Seren." Rose smirked at me.

"Why me." Seren asked.

"Because you are of noble birth and it is what many humans would expect of him." Rose shrugged.

"There are many lords who might take offense to that." I shook my head.

"Maybe. But as a lord you have responsibilities not to mention that Seren would have to hide her child if she ever wished to marry someone else. Most men would see it as a stain on her reputation. Finding a suitable suitor who would overlook it would be harder for her." Rose replied.

"I don't know. Anyone who did marry me would become a duke and second or third in the line to the crown. Plus I always have the option of having the baby then some time later I can adopt it." Seren replied.

"And he or she would have no claim to the throne." I said.

"That is not necessarily a bad thing." Seren shook her head. I never want to sit on the throne.

"What is the other option?" Aurora spoke up.

"We have Tommen marry all of us." Rose shrugged.

"Fair but it wouldn't be a valid marriage. The kingdom only recognizes a gnomes first wife." Seren replied.

"We still need to bring Arwen and Willow in on this as well." I rubbed my face.

"Arwen is on her way to act as my handmaiden again. I figured it was as good excuse as any." Seren stated.

"Is Willow even pregnant?" Aurora asked.

"Yes. Though she says she can't be sure it's his." Rose said. That was a fair point though I would put gold on it being mine given the revelation that I was going to be a father of four. Luckily Rose had confirmed that neither of the twins where having my child. Though I had only slept with them once. The rest of the day went by as usual. The Princess stayed for dinner. After dinner I helped clear the table and do the dishes catching up with Felecia a little.

"I wanted to ask you something." Felicia asked.

"Shoot."

"I have been saving up my money. I want to buy my freedom." She glanced over at me.

"Tired of me already?"

"It's not that..." She shook her head.

"I am kidding, I have already filled out all the paper work. It's in my room." I smiled.

"Why didn't you say something?"

"When we first meet you didn't like the idea. I figured you would change your mind one day.

"I suppose I wasn't ready then. How much..." She began to say.

"Nothing. Actually I have money for you for all your hard work you have done. You have become quit a leader in your own right."

"I just like helping people. I guess I had a good role model." She smiled up at me and gave me a hug. I back out where other three where talking.

"Hey, want to fool around a little." Rose smiled at me and the other two girls did the same.
