Two gigantic paws gripped the sides of the cave. Slowly, the shape of an ungodly massive bear emerged from the cave. It barely fit out of the mouth, pulling with its claws instead of walking on its four legs. It looked down at me, one of its eyes a blank white with a scar passing over it, the other an unnatural shade of red. It let out a forceful breath that nearly sent me back as I examined it.

I was confused by its character page. 'This thing has as many titles as Norman, why does a bear have that many titles? And what does "Father's Slayer" mean? Is it a slayer that belongs to "Father" or did it slay them?' My thoughts on the confusing nature of Scar were cut off as it roared at me. 'Right, thing to think about later. Right now, I have a bear to fight.... Not something I ever planned on thinking.'

As Scar began to charge me, I awoke my Spirit, wishing to see how strong it was. As it formed in front of me, the great bear hesitated for the moment it took to finish reconstructing. Soon after, they began exchanging blows. While it seemed the Spirit was capable of hurting the bear, the fight was not close to evenly matched. Within moments, the Spirit's last casting of Holy Shield was shattered and it was cut into pieces.

I let out a large sigh as the Spirit's mask landed in front of me, clattering for a few moments before coming to a rest. 'I always hate it when I have to get involved in fights myself.' I swiftly picked up the mask and put it on, noticing that I still felt strength from it even though I was in my true form. 'How could it give me more power when its limit is my maximum? Could it be... does it mean my absolute maximum?' I had no reason to be holding back in this fight, so as the bear roared at me once more, I activated my trump card.

Final Form Activated, Beginning Transformation

I let out a roar of my own, hearing my voice distort into a deeper form. I saw my surroundings seemingly shrink as I grew, my own form changing proportions. My limbs grew thick and bulky, no longer slender, though still seemingly pure muscle. I felt my jawline widen, and fangs grow to **** my mouth open. I was still not the size of the full bear, but I was not certain that was the best gage of strength. I could now confirm, however, that this was the maximum my divine mark considered.

I raised my claws at Scar, not caring for any further theatrics as I casted Incur Growth. To my surprise, the bear did not seem to be instantly affected. Though I could see that it seemed uncomfortable, the potency did not seem enough to bring it to **** yet. With my unfortunate misplay, Scar was able to get a good claw in on me. I skidded off the ground a bit from the impact, not feeling too pained from the scratch itself.

'It seems I could take only twelve more hits like that, though hopefully this fight won't last long enough for that to happen.' I gritted my teeth as I casted Nature's Power, hoping to use a powerful attack to keep it distracted while I continued to focus on it with growth magic. When the magical bolt from the attack struck, it momentarily left a scratch across Scar, before that scratch quickly was infused with the magic. The exposed flesh grew and twisted, forming gruesome tumors that clearly agitated the bear.

It glared as me before unleashing another ferocious roar, spittle splattering across the entire battlefield. It got up on its hind legs and attempted to slam upon me, though I managed to deflect it with Holy Shield. I eyed my mana wearily, seeing that I was depleting it faster than I would like. I needed to try another strategy, as this was not working.

I continued to dodge, trying to think of another strategy. This seemed to aggravate the Elder Bear, as its attacks became less accurate but more common and forceful. It was after one near miss that struck a tree, nearly felling it in one strike, that my new plan was born. 'I don't need to use growth on the bear, I can use it on everything around the bear!' I got behind it to buy time as I casted Aura of Growth. Scar turned around in time to begin charging me, before the last of my mana was depleted and the ground shook from the influx of growth.

Scar was at first grasped by the growing grass, though it quickly wrenched its way out of their grip and continued its charge. Vines from the trees came down and wrapped around it, but it pushed through in its frenzied attempt to kill me. I began to become concerned, as I had spent my mana and had no great way of fighting left aside from trying to have a punch fight with it, and I was not a Canadian with a squirrel under my beanie.

It was at that moment, that a great blur rushed towards the bear, striking it and sending it flying. The bear landed roughly into the mouth of its cave, struggling to get up with a grizzly (Sorry, I had to) wound upon its side, when the cave itself shook and collapsed down upon it.

My HUD was blaring with notifications, but first I turned quickly to see what had struck the bear.
