"Tragic business that," Hunk adds.

"Usually these things can be sorted out pretty quickly," Jennette says. "Especially when the royal family flexes its muscles..."

Hilda and Sally gulp. She's talking confiscation of assets.

Hunk finishes putting his armor back on. He's obviously not comfortable with this discussion. "Jennette, the Brandt's are a fine family, this must be a mistake."

"I highly doubt it," the smug woman responds. "If they were, I wouldn't be here."

"Speaking of here," Hunk says as he climbs back on his horse. "I agreed to escort you through my lands, as ordered by royal decree. I have fulfilled my oath and will now return to my home."

Jennette looks worried. "But... you promised to escort me!"

"And I have," Hunk replies. "Through my land. As was agreed upon."

"You... you're just going to leave me here?!" Jennette angrily responds.

"I have no desire to see the Brandts embarrassed, and besides, these lands are safe," Hunk says.

"We were attacked by a witch!" Jennette shouts back.

"Oh yeah. Good point," Hunk says. "Um..."

That's when Sally jumps in with a clever idea.
