Did she?

Well yeah, that's how the ring works

"I did!" Mel said with an excitement undue to any humans this early on a Monday. Faith opened her email and prepared to be busy during the onslaught. Mel could talk her ear off, but in return she was a very attentive listener who would hear anything Faith needed to say. The perfect person to bitch to.

"We went to see an art exhibit in the park, which was weird and modern-y and I didn't get it, but Scott didn't either so we had fun trying to figure it out. We were totally stumped by this big ear that wasn't anatomically correct and we couldn't tell if it was on purpose or not. But we gave up and then we went out to lunch at nice little bistro, where I got soup and Scott got some kind of protean salad." Scott had taken up weight lifting a year before and looked good. "And then we went to meet up with some friends for our regular board game afternoon, where we played some new kind of mystery game that I'd never hear of before. I lost, but also I think I was supposed to be the killer, and someone died so maybe I won? But I did get caught, I think. After that we went home and made a pizza. Scott didn't even tell me he had gotten the dough cold fermenting before we left, it was so good. All mushrooms and lots of cheese."

Faith half listened to her, casually scrolling through the emails she'd missed so far that morning. "Wow, sounds like a full day. I bet you had to take Sunday as a lazy day in bed to recover. Or do you have to recover today from a very active day in bed yesterday?" She teased. Melissa was a blusher, and did not like to talk about her sex life in any way. Which Faith loved, since she had to live vicariously through friends and porn. Faith also had a personal bet that Mel had some major kinks under the surface, but had never been able to figure them out.

She couldn't see the blush, but the embarrassment was clear in her voice when Mel said, "I said it was a fun, okay? You shouldn't ask me things like that. He's your boss and we're at work." Which Faith knew meant "yes."

Faith clicked open an email. Dammit, an office meeting in an hour. And she was supposed to present. "Oh c'mon, you know me. I can't help but ask personal stuff, right? And don't you just love helping me out by giving me all the wet, juicy details?" She said sarcastically. It was like a wave passed through her mind, and she blinked in confusion. Why would that be sarcastic? Melissa loved talking about her sex life.

Was it really that great a Sunday?
