Well, you see.....

The next day was going by pretty quickly. Sky was clearly excited that we were almost there. Personally I'm still a bit nervous about all this but I had to admit, her joy was contagious. We found ourselves running through the trees and playing tag as we went. I swear, her happy giggle and that bright smile damn near made me melt.

As evening fell Sky told me that we were only about an hour away from the village, so we decided to camp out once more and then head over in the morning. I was glad we did, this way I'll have a bit to collect myself and gather my nerves before I meet the elder.

"Nervous?", Sky asked as she sat next to me. Cuddling into my side with a long exhale as she relaxed. I looked over to her and tried to give my best smile despite the turmoil going on in my head.

"A little bit I guess," I replied with a sigh, "I'm not entirely sure to be honest." Leaning back and staring into the darkness I allowed myself to drift and lose myself in my thoughts. Most people would probably freak out if they found themselves in my situation. From being thrust into a completely different world surrounded by things you thought were only real in books, to finding out you're the soulmate of a beast person, to physically changing in unknown ways with no idea what's happening to you.

Most people would absolutely lose their shit. And yet, I'm not worried about it in the slightest. Actually, I don't really know how I feel anymore. My mind is foggy at best and I can't stop feeling this insane urge to just let go and stop thinking altogether. Not to mention this sudden urge to look up... And let go......

"Oh, oh!! Look!!," Sky suddenly exclaimed, pointing up. "Look at that, the full moon is just beautiful when it's shining like that! Don't you think Alice?......"

"Alice?....."
