Wednesday, Week 2, Chloe Parker's Second Date Part 1

Alan woke up to a conversation. Laurel was chatting with Chloe, her roommate. Or was Christian her roommate? Alan reached for the fact, and it slid away. He was sure he'd known it yesterday.

"…so, yeah, Ali's been busy," Chloe was finishing an explanation. "I mean, she obviously misses you, but the drugs she made keep her pretty calm."

"Yeah, that's my mom, alright." Laurel sighed. "Did they ever tell you how Jasmine won the wish? Gayest girl in the harem, and she out-scored everyone on a show about pleasing one guy."

"Oh, she got a VP-enhancing transformation. I don't remember the details, but something disgusting gave her more VP than normal for sex acts, and she'd barely earned any before that. Once she realized she was behind, she got the TF and did a mad dash. She ended up with a lead."

"That's grotesque." Laurel shook her head.

"Um, she said it ended up really fun?" Chloe blushed.

Alan noticed Laurel blushing as well.

"So, my non-related aunt's sex life aside, what's going on?" Alan asked the girls.

"Oh, we were discussing how Chloe got a rundown of the show before it started. She just told me everything," Laurel said with a smirk.

Alan froze and gave Chloe a hard look.

"Thank you, bitch," Chloe growled at Laurel before turning to Alan. "That isn't how I would put it. I learned some of the truth. Your family had already decided it would be better if you didn't learn about it before your own season. They fought about it a lot."

"It sounds like they were full of shit, but I don't blame Chloe for trusting them." Laurel jumped out of bed and gave Chloe a quick hug. "I'm glad you told me. You two have fun. And don't bother with a condom. Protection's for cowards." Laurel left the room, looking relaxed.

Alan sighed. "Um, what did you hear about yesterday?"

"Well, I knew Laurel hosted, briefly." Chloe looked down. "I keep going back over what happened when I made Ali tell me the truth. I'm starting to think she was manipulating me in ways I never noticed."

"You could have told me the truth." Alan's voice came out even. Too even.

"Ali said your innocence would protect you." Chloe sat down on the bed with a heavy thump. "I believed her."

"Of course you did." Alan closed his eyes. "Anything else you should tell me?"

"Um. Your kids have the genetic potential to become Crawlers, with the right symbiote. Violet was working with Elon Musk on something to do with a transformation breaking physics and ending world hunger. The paternity test confirmed that Nathan's your biological father." Chloe let it out in a rush while Alan tried to keep himself calm.

"I need some time alone," Alan decided. "I'm sorry."

He stood up and left the Master's Suite, leaving Chloe shocked on his bed.
