We share the bed

Tia looks at you. She lowers her head a bit embarrassed. "We share the bed. Nothing happens, but we will share the bed. Just for tonight. Then tomorrow we will ask for a spare mattress or something for one of us to sleep on."

"Are you sure you're ok with that?" you ask. "I can order some more pillows to make a barrier between us if that helps?"

"No it's fine" Tia replies. "I'm ok with it. But if you try anything I will punch you" She states in an authoritative voice

"I will keep my hands to yourself" You laugh "You better not try anything either though"

Tia smiles "Oh how will I ever spend a night without touching your body" You both laugh

"We should probably get ready for bed. You can use the bathroom and i'll get sorted out here." You smile.

"Thank you" Tia smiles collecting her Pyjamas. "I'm glad we're friends now. You're a pretty cool dude actually."

"You're not so bad yourself" You smile

You're both changed and get into the bed. You keep your distance like an old married couple. You are watching TV. A re-run of Friends is on. You don't particularly like Friends but it's the only thing with subtitles. Tia's texting as usual

"You sure you're ok with this?" you ask Tia

"Yeah I'm fine" She smiles at you. "Thanks for being considerate but it's fine. Giving you the bed is one of the many ways i'm going to make it up to you for the previous few months so if I have to be in the bed then I will be in the bed."

"Thanks. What do you mean many ways?" You enquire

"I've been an ass to you for ages so I need to make it up to you. Another way is you are not paying for any meals for the rest of this trip. I'm buying for you" She states in a voice that makes it sound non-negotiable

"You seriously don't have to" You re-assure her. She turns to you. "It's fine. I got a lot of spending money. Dad has a nice job so money isn't an issue. I'll think up other ways to make it up to you." She smiles at you. The smile that knocks over sky scrapers. It's stunning.

"You have a really nice smile" You say. Tia looks at you and goes back to texting
