“So where do you guys want to go?” Nick asked, walking over to Dawn and Morgana. He was quite a sight, having Sylvia hang off him on one side, and Rose hanging off him on the other. Part of him was glad that Holly was going with Mary; he didn’t have any sides left!

“Not sure,” Dawn admitted, shrugging. “We should go find some rides that aren’t so intense.” She had a bit of sadness in her voice, like she was disappointed by this. Nick could guess why, and so could Morgana.

“I’m sorry,” the goth said, looking down. “It’s all my fault… because I keep throwing up, we can’t go on any of the really intense rides…”

“Hey, no, it’s fine,” Dawn said quickly, shaking her head. “That’s not it at all! There’s nothing wrong with having a bit of nausea every now and then. Later we can go on the more exciting rides. There’s nothing wrong with that.”

Morgana looked at her and tried to smile. She appreciated Dawn trying to make her feel better, she really did.

“Okay then,” she nodded in agreement. “You’re right! So, um… what do you guys normally do at places like this? Because I mainly stick to the Merry-Go-Round…” She’d already done that once today; she wasn’t in the mood to fall back onto old habits.

“You know,” Nick said, trying to hide his smile as he glanced at Dawn, “I’m not so sure that she’s the right person to ask.”

“Hey!” Dawn’s brow furrowed and she stared at him, crossing her arms over her chest. Her tail twitched indignantly. “Why would you say something like that? That’s mean, you know!”

“Sorry, hey, just trying to be honest here,” Nick said, throwing up his arms. A difficult task, given the two blondes clinging to them. “The way I remember it, you spent most of our field trip to the Amusement Park at the concession stand, or trying out the carnival games.”

Dawn scowled and bit her lip. “Oh, you remember that well, huh?” She sneered, shifting from foot to foot. She swung her hips slightly, almost like she was angling her crotch towards him. It was a subtle gesture that not everyone would pick up on, but Rose did. She recognized it as an **** seduction move.

Morgana’s jaw dropped and her eyes widened. At the same time, Rose tried not to burst out laughing. She had to cling to Nick’s arm even harder to keep her balance.

“Dawn, that wasn’t my intention!” Nick’s face was as hot as an inferno. He shook himself free from Sylvia and Rose and rushed over to her. “I… I mean… yes, I may have followed you a little, but… I just wanted to make sure you were okay!”

“It’s fine, Nick,” Dawn said, taking his hands in hers and holding them gently. “I know why you did the stuff you did. And I don’t hold it against you. Really, I don’t. You were just in a weird place, that’s all. But honestly… did you have to follow me?”

Nick blushed and looked away. No, of course he didn’t.

“Didn’t you really just want to spend the day with me in the Amusement Park?” She pressed.

Nick’s eyes widened. “Well, I mean… I…”

“I might have been fine with that, too, you know,” Dawn pointed out, her voice turning solemn and wistful. She looked away. “If you’d just asked. Even I can get… lonely.”

“Ooh,” Rose whistled, and Nick shot her a dirty look. Now was absolutely NOT the time for any of her shenanigans.

“So let’s say we get a second chance?” Dawn skipped around Nick and looped her arm through his. “It can be like the date we never had!”

“Hey! Wait, that’s my spot!” Rose’s cheerful amusement at the situation didn’t last long. Sylvia was already holding Nick’s other side now, leaving no place for her to get in.

Dawn looked over her shoulder and smirked.

“Agh! You thieving cat!” Rose huffed, putting her foot down. “And after I changed into this new outfit and everything, too!”

Then, she had a great idea. A fun idea that should earn her some new BP.

She beckoned him to look at her, and like an idiot, he fell for it completely.

“I know!” Dawn said loudly, breaking the flow of this conversation. They were supposed to be talking about what they were going to be doing as a group at the Amusement Park, not being held captive and **** to watch Rose flirt with Nick. “I have an idea for what we can do.”

“Nah, you’re not thinking big enough, sis,” Marley said, shaking her head. “That’s the kind of ride you should save for last! It’s the climax of the day! You want to build up to it, don’t you get it?”

It was clear that they weren’t getting anywhere.

“Dani, what do you think?” Carly asked.

“The best ride around? That’s gotta be Ring Drop,” Gina said, fishing out the crumpled park guide. “Take a look.”

She scanned the skyline of the park until she found what she was looking for, and then pointed at it. A large tower was sticking out into the air like a skyscraper, but it was a little too narrow. And if you took a look at it, then you could see that there was something weird about it. For one, the top as a little rounded, and flared out, and the color of it was…
