Chapter 16 by brambank brambank

What should Leanne do?

Warn Abbie

Leanne screamed towards the young blonde. "Abbie! Run!" she sprinted towards them. Hoping to reach the girl before the disturbing clown.

Abbie looked confused. She stared frozen as Leanne came barrelling forwards. When she eventually reached her she was panting hard.

"Abbie! Quick!" she pleaded. "We've got to go!" Leanne's eyes were wide with fear, staring at the creeping clown behind them. Abbie slowly turned to look over her shoulder at what could be so terrifying.

"Leanne, it's okay," she replied calmly.

"The hell do you mean?" queried Leanne. "We've got to get away from him."

Abbie remained silent. She seemed hesitant to explain herself. "He... He's going to help us. He's... He's my dad."

Leanne stopped tugging at the young woman's arm. Now it was her turn to be stunned into silence. She looked from Abbie to the clown and back again. Nothing was making sense. What did this mean? She thought back to all of her interactions with the clown. Had she imagined it was all so bad? What had he actually done to make her so fearful?

"Leanne, there are several things you don't know," continued Abbie. "But the most important thing is that there are strange forces here. Things that don't seem normal. I don't even know if they really do exist or it's just my imagination. But I do know how we can stop them."

Leanne was hesitant. She eyed the clown warily as he stood passively behind Abbie. She couldn't help but feel underdressed in the sexy school uniform as he stared towards her, causing her to tug on the short skirt uncomfortably. "Okay." she agreed reluctantly. "What do we do?"

Abbie smiled happily. "Okay. The simplest way I can explain this is we need to stop the thing controlling everything. If we stop that, then all the rest should just disappear. In theory."

"In theory?" yelled Leanne. A little exasperated.

"Well obviously we've never managed to finish this before otherwise it wouldn't still be going on." replied the young blonde. With Leanne more or less satisfied with her response Abbie continued. "However, we need to do a few things first. It might be faster if we split up but that could also be more dangerous. Leanne, what do you want to do?"

What should Leanne choose?
