Wake up.

Slowly, you wake back up on your bed, with the others still on theirs beside you. You're the last to awaken, however. The girls look worried. You turn to the side to see Barkis looming over you, and Rada eyes you over with great interest. There's an uneasy tension in the room. Finally, after a long moment of silence, the enchanter next to you speaks up.

"Well then," he says.

"Did you see all of that?" you ask.

"I did. It was all very... interesting to watch."

"Well, forget you saw it!" Eva shouts.

"Would somebody please fill me in?" asks Rada. "I would like to know as well."

Barkis lets out a deep exhale. "It seems our boy here was grabbed from his room in the other world by a woman, who wasn't working alone. They strapped him down and experimented on him. That explains why he possesses strange powers."

"That woman. She said a dem--..." Niki mutters.

"Which only refers to a powerful, threatening individual," Amara says. "It does not mean he is a literal demon of course."

"But what is he going to become?" Eva asks nervously.

Rada looks between everyone and strokes his beard. "Am I to understand you found out he was to be a demon king? Because that's what it sounds like... Interesting. Perhaps the one experimenting on him wished for him to be someone powerful they could control. This may be cause for alarm."

"I don't feel controlled!" you shout. "And don't talk about me like I'm not here. I'm no demon king. They gave me power apparently, but look how I've been using it."

"Calm down," Barkis says. "We aren't going to imprison you. But we would like to know if anything else happens. It's important we monitor this closely. That way, we can try to stay ahead of these mysterious individuals."

"Shall we alert the others of this?" Rada asks.

Eva hops off her bed to grab you by the arm. "You can't, dad! They might hurt him if you do."

He lets out an exhausted sigh. His eyes move to Barkis, and then to her once again. She looks back at him with adorable beady eyes. There's a long period of silence yet again before he speaks.

"That may be for the best," he says at last.

"It isn't smart to keep secrets from the rest," Barkis says.

"As if you don't have secrets yourself."

"True, true."

"Thank you, dad," Eva mutters.

"So what now?" you ask.

"Enjoy the big city," Rada suggests. "But be careful. And when you're ready, head home. We have no right to keep you here. Please be smart. If you are being observed, they might approach you soon. Do not trust them."

You nod.

After that strange series of events, you're eventually lead back out, presumably while they discuss what just occurred. You and the girls are left to your own devices. The streets are bustling, and the city is vast. You're not even certain what to do while you're here. There's also the fact that the rest of the girls are waiting for the story of what happened as well.
