Wake up the old farmer.

For a brief moment you are tempted to stay and watch but you decide that if you are not going to get the chance to get into Loretta's panties neither is Jed. You hurry back across the yard, with the guidance of the light of the full moon, to the back door. You don't care if the back door, wooden floor, or the stairs makes a noise because you intend to wake the old farmer.

At the top of the stairs you see the smooth oak door to Loretta's father's bedroom. You knock twice.

"Who is it?" a gruff voice grumbles sleepily.

"Sir, I think I heard something outside," you whisper. "I think there's someone in the barn."

The door suddenly swings open and the old farmer storms past you with his shotgun in his hands. He quickly checks Loretta's bedroom, finding her missing he angrily descends down the stairs. "Stay here, boy!" he yells back at you as he kicks the back door open.

You feel sorry for Jed and don't wish any physical harm to him so you grab the phone and dial 911.

"911, what's your emergency?"

"I think there's an intruder in our barn."

"Where are you located, sir?"

As you tell the operator to the best of your ability the farm's location the sound of a shotgun goes off and then a scream. Another shotgun blast sounds.

"You better hurry!" You hang up and dash out the back door only to see Loretta running towards you with tears blinding her eyes.

"He's been shot!" she blurts out and dives into your arms.

"Who?" you ask.
