Wake her

John woke Lucy up.

"Lucy," he said. "Please go about your day as normal and not follow me."

"Don't tell me what to do!" Lucy said. "I'll follow you if I want to!"

"Okay, but you can't insist on paying for anything I want to buy today."

"Damn it," Lucy shook her head. "Let me buy anything you want to buy!"

John snickered.
