Wait for Dan

After her latest experience, Leanne decided it'd be safer to just stay where she was until Dan returned. She was waiting anxiously in the corridor imaging the fun she could get up to with the handsome staff member when she heard footsteps approaching behind her.

Turning around expecting to see Dan's good looking features, Leanne's grin dropped as she was met by the short dumpy figure of a young woman. "Hey!" smiled the girl.

"Um, hi," answered Leanne.

The girl was a little shorter than Leanne and about her age. Her mousy brown hair was straight and came to a low fringe just above her thick glasses. She was plump and waddled as she walked towards Leanne. Her face, while not ugly, had a kind of imp-like quality to it.

"I'm Marie," she announced. Struggling to hide her delight at meeting Leanne.

"Leanne," came the reply, followed by a **** smile to his her disappointment.

"You're very beautiful, Leanne," observed Marie. Still grinning idiotically.

"Um, thanks," Leanne couldn't help but squirm awkwardly at the way Marie was gazing at her. The missing buttons on her blouse and extra exposure adding to her discomfort "So what are you doing here, Marie? Do you work here?"

"No, no," she replied. "I'm just visiting my grandad. I stop by almost every day. Why are you here?"

"I'm a volunteer," answered Leanne. "I'm here for the day, spending time with the residents and..." Leanne's response was interrupted by the excited young woman.

"Do you want to meet my grandad?" she asked animatedly.

"Um, well I'm actually kind of waiting for someone." replied Leanne. "He should be here any second and I don't want him to wonder where I went."

"It's okay," continued Marie. "It's not far. We'll be back before you know it."

Leanne wasn't sure if rejecting this girl would be such a good idea. There was something in her eye that concerned Leanne. Then again, following her to who knows where might not be so safe either. She hesitated while she thought of an answer. Hoping Dan would appear around the corner to save her.
