Visit His Home

The priest seemed like he was going to be busy here for a while and from what the flock had told him he figured he would be able to reach the house long before the priest arrived. After all, he couldn’t see any kind of cart or horse.

He didn’t know what was pulling him towards the house as he set off, peeling off from the herd when he reached the crossroads and heading down the away from the town and towards the farmhouse. The place was further away than he had expected, the cloud robbing him of a sense of time he could only go off the slight chill in the air that suggested it was maybe late afternoon when the building finally came into view.

The place didn’t look anything like Aaralon had imagined a priest living in. Instead of a single neatly contained building the place sprawled out in every direction. It looked like it had been added to over the years or maybe had been a few buildings that had grown into each other. It was surrounded by a mix of lean-tos, cattle sheds and hey stores.

Yet as Aaralon moved around the outside of the building he saw that they were all empty, only the odd bundle of hay rotting into the mud or rusty tool to hint at what these places were once used for something.

He had wandered around to the back of the building by then and as he turned to take it in he noticed the back door hanging ajar. It wouldn’t be too hard to just step inside and take a little look around. After all, all the windows where already shuttered and would the priest notice?

Still, Aaralon glanced up at the sky, the slate grey clouds giving no hint as to the time, the priest couldn’t be all that far away, could he? The fields around the house didn’t offer much in the way of cover and with the shutters closed he wouldn’t know the priest was home until he walked inside. It was still far too early to allow himself to be caught sneaking around houses.

All the fears and worries about what might happen warred in Aaralons mind with the desire to know more about the priest. To find the reason for his sated desires.
