Viridian Forest again

As the two of you make your way down Viridian City's streets, Blue pulls two granola bars out of his backpack and hands you one. By the time you realize he just handed you breakfast he's already unwrapped his and bitten it in half. You follow suit, though you aren't going to stuff your face as crudely as Blue.

"Where are we going to train today?" You ask as you take your first little bite.

"Wur off to the foruff again," Blue mumbles. He stops a moment and swallows hard before he continues. "Viridian Forest has the most trainers in the area looking for a challenge. And we need to go through it to get to Pewter City and its gym anyway."

You nod. He's right. There aren't many places to train around here, and most trainers gather in Viridian forest to test their mettle against each other. You just hope today won't end up with your ass getting **** again.

You just manage to finish your granola bar by the time you get to the entrance to Viridian Forest. Inside you can already see and hear many trainers battling so early in the morning. Out of the corner of your eye you even notice that red-headed trainer from yesterday battling some poor newbie. The redhead is commanding a Magnemite who looks to be completely shrugging off every attack from the opponent's Spearow. With a blinding flash, Magnemite unleashes a devastating Thunderbolt, defeating the Spearow instantly. The challenger retracts his Spearow into its pokeball, grumbling as he fishes through his pockets for some prize money to pay out.

The flash got Blue's attention, too. He leads the two of you in the opposite direction, keen on not repeating yesterday's losses. You pull away from most of the other trainers in the area, slowly making your way through some patches of tall grass. You're reminded again of your absence of any covering of your lower half as the blades of grass tickle your hips and butt as you pass through them. You pass by plenty of bug Pokemon minding their own business, but if they aren't going to confront you Blue isn't going to waste his time with them.

You both suddenly stop as you near a clearing. You look at Blue, and he looks back at you. You both definitely hear the same thing. Something... squeaking??? at the other end of the clearing.
