Villager going on pilgrimage

Having grown up in a dangerous world, your village stood apart as a stronghold in the area. This was do to many factors, from the strong wooden walls to the well armed militia. But the main reason is that every child, regardless of parentage, was required to leave as soon as adulthood was reached. This pilgrimage lasted normally around a year, and all pilgrims were required to have either a major achievement that would increase the prestige of the village, or to bring back items that would benefit the well-being or safety of the village before they could return.

As the chiefs child, you knew that much was expected of you. You look in the mirror as you prepare.
