What the fuck? Just how lewd is this game? And how would they even know who I’ve slept with? Ugh, I just pick the first skill, Viewer Support. That might actually help me. Not that I plan to keep this thing for long, but from what I’ve seen so far a punishment has a chance to be a real pain.

After, I go back to my phone’s home screen, then hold the Gem Ladies app to share it with Jayden. I can’t see an option to delete the app, though, so that’s gonna be a real pain. I decide to just mail him a copy of the app, so I press the share option, tap gmail and enter his mail. Wait, if this is a virus, is mailing it over to someone else really a good idea? Eh I’m sure it’ll be fine.

But I have more important things to do now, those things being setting up everything for the stream. I can’t let some hackers or whatever stop me from streaming, I owe that much to my fairly big fanbase. I’ll probably just try and get some practice with Pokemon Trainer right now. I boot up all the software stuff that Jayden helped me set up, and start the stream with the waiting animation thing while I get my Switch stuff all ready and do the lighting, check audio, make sure that the delay times aren’t too bad… It's a whole process.

Finally I’m able to start up the stream, I welcome everyone, do the usual. I start up Smash after about 10 minutes of just chatting, but I hear a notification from my phone. I take it out of my pocket and it’s Gem Ladies again… what a pain. I’d better just get it over with.

Once more the board’s shape and size as well as the level’s background look the same as the last two levels, gems look the same again, but more spread out this time, which makes me wonder if the gems’ location was completely random with a few rules or if it was deliberate, maybe even to the point where someone hand-designed them.

This time I’m a bit more sucked into it and have to actually kind of try, if I had more experience with this kind of game specifically I would have probably still been able to clear the level easily, problem is that I don’t. Thankfully, however, a few people have been helping me using that viewer support skill I got just now, landing in gems next to those of their same type next to the board, not the handiest, but it helps. I’m about halfway when I hear the sound of an actual donation, I’m a bit busy but I don’t want to seem ungrateful (the donations are most of my income so…) which is why I look back up to the webcam real quick and give my thanks, they seemed to have a message do the bot auto-plays it and it’s a bit of a story even, about how they were just kind of bored and depressed until they found me and really enjoyed my content, which as a streamer is very flattering to me, something I’ve never been able to deal with well. Wait, what was I doing again? Oh no.

I quickly look back down on my phone to see the last second click away on the timer, and for the first time I’m greeted by some punishment screen, with a weirdly high-quality 3d model of me in the middle doing a very… jiggly dance. The model is connected by lines to three different orbs of a sort, one above me, and the other 2 diagonally below me, one on the left and the other the right, those aren’t 3d though, just some colored circles to stand out over the deep crimson background. When clicking on the circles, they expand into text bubbles, I assume the names of my punishments. The three are, in order:

Increased odds

The bad route

Hot stream

Now, that last one is almost certainly out, I’m fairly certain that whatever it is can’t be good, if I had to guess it’s got something to do with my showers, maybe? If I had to stream those it would be a major pain. Also, any gamer knows that if there’s one thing that will mess you up, it’s RNG, so increased odds also sounds like a no-go (especially because it sounds like it would just make it easier for me to get even more punishments). The bad route is probably some play on games where you can choose to be good or evil (Undertale, Infamous SS, those types), I don’t know exactly what that would do, but it’s probably better than getting more punishments and/or having to stream my showers, even the thought of that makes a little bit of me die inside. Not to mention I always have liked playing the bad guy in those kinds of games, so I go with that one, whatever it may be.

I select the punishment, the other two disappear and the model of me takes out a knife from behind her with a sinister smile, I wonder if that’s for this punishment specifically or just for every one. After that the screen fades out to one with just a background and a hint

“Hint: After unlocking the ‘unchain’ skill you can remove a punishment after beating a level”

Interesting, I’ll check that out when I beat my next level, for now though I manage to find my way to the punishment menu, which contains some sort of list you can expand and shrink, the tabs read:

“Punishments - 1”

“Standard punishments - 0”

“Reverse Skill Punishments - 1”

“??? - 0”

“??? - 0”

“??? - 0”

“??? - 0”

I feel like they could’ve gone with just not showing me all those question marks but whatever, I tap the RS punishments to expand it and find “The Bad Route” and its explanation:

“(Target: Viewer Support) The audience of your livestream can now also use stream tokens to remove a gem from the board, without giving you its reward”

So… more punishments it is anyway. Fuck. Should’ve known an app like this one would screw me over no matter what I do. Oh well, not much to be done about it now. After deciding that until this issue is resolved, I apologise to those watching before closing the stream. I’ll wait until Jayden is done with his investigation. Speaking of the devil, I need a break from this, lewd, mess already, so I go to his room

“Knock knock” I say while simultaneously knocking on his door

Me and Jayden have both decided that when knocking, we also announce our presence through, well saying so. It’s mostly just an extra step in privacy, considering we’re two young adults that, as far as I know, are attracted to the gender of the other, living together in a medium-sized apartment. So, privacy is pretty high on our priority list.

Jayden then opens the door and beckons me inside before sitting on the chair at his desk, where it looks like he’s running some kind of code, then again I’m no expert.

“I got the app and at least it didn’t download itself, however it is heavily encrypted, I have a program that can try and bruteforce it open but it’ll take a while if it even works. Whoever made this does not want anyone to mess with it, that’s for sure.” Hearing this, I lean against the chair due to the sheer despair I’m feeling as well as how tired I am. Good grief, I really need a break now. “Damnit. Well if we can’t do anything about it now, wanna go do something?”

Jayden thinks about this for a bit, as usual. “Sure, wanna go over to Mariah’s?” Mariah’s is this really nice little cafe just down the road, we usually don’t go there for the food, more the company and just the niceness of the place. That is not to say the food is bad though, the milkshakes there in particular are damn good. I nod my head “Lemme get showered first.”

I'm probably gonna stop doing this from this point on, unless I have a comment or two to respond to. Speaking of the devil (or succubus?)

Duduvar - Those sound like great ideas to me! I don't know for sure if/when I'll implement them but either way thanks for the input.

I-Am-Weirdo - While it is true that Succulabs is quite tricky in their ways, but to just hide a pretty big part of a skill doesn't really fit with them imo.
