Victoria makes a bet

"Anyway, I came over here to make a proposition." Victoria said with a smirk.

"Proposition?" Gregg asked, leaning back with his arms crossed.

Victoria nodded. "Yes. I want you to close down for the day. And come work for me."

Gregg's eyes were wide and he was stunned speechless.

"I want you to see how much money you make for me. And how few people would even notice that you were closed." Victoria said in a catty tone.

"That's... what? No way, I have regulars. People who depend on me." Gregg huffed confidently.

This made the woman laugh. "Okay, then, how about a bet?" She smirked. "If no one buys anything from you in the next... two hours, you shut down and finish the day with me."

"Uh... hmm... okay..." He sighed. It would be bad for business, but it was a chance to make at least some money. If no one bought from him, he'd at least make some hourly pay from Victoria. He hated it, but a part of him was curious.
