“Give them some time,” Zack agreed, eager to keep the focus of the conversation on their two friends. “Ashley will probably come to her senses soon.”

“Yeah, time’s the key,” Victoria said, almost in a whisper. She leaned back on the counter, her hands supporting her weight behind her. She threw her head back and slowly lowered her mischievous green eyes to his blue ones. “Everything’s down to timing, everyone has to wait for the right time for things to happen, don’t you agree, Zack?”
