Veka, the resort planet.

The sounds of flowing water were everywhere. Samus was surround by towering platforms with tubular slides attached. The people around her were all wearing swim trunks or bikinis. In the distance she saw giant condo hotels. There was no mistaking it. Samus had ended up on Veka the planet sized vacation resort. The bounty hunter was awestruck. She had always wanted to come here ever since she was a little girl and now she had made it just while on the job.

'Maybe after I defeat this lava monster I can stay awhile,' She thought. Just then another scream rang out reminding Samus of her mission. She ran in the direction of the scream and found the terrible creature harassing nearby tourists. The creature looked like kinda cross between an armadillo and a water bear. It has six fat legs, a shell made of molten rock, and a snout like a star mole. Also it was covered in fiery lava.

"Hey ugly!" Samus yelled as she opened fire on the beast. The blasts pelted the beasts body but did little damage. Still the monster screamed and took off running likely still too weak to fight.

"Oh no you don't," Samus proclaimed. She switched her fire mode from laser to missile believing that could pierce the monsters hide. However as she aimed her arm to lock on to the creature an error message appeared in her visor. It told her the missile targeting system was offline. She was unable to fire without risking potential civilian casualties.

"Dang it," Samus spat. She would have to chase the creature on foot. As the beast rampaged, civilians fled trying desperately not to be smashed by the monster. Samus had to think of a way to stop this thing before someone got hurt. Then while the creature flared around, it knocked down a waterslide spilling water all over itself. The creature screamed in pain bucked like a bronco for a second before continuing its rampage.

Samus smiled. She finally knew how to beat it. Looking around she saw a large empty pool in front of the monster. Diverting most of her suit's power to the legs Samus sped forwards catching up to the monster and bodyslaming it into the pool. As it fell into the water, steam erupted from it's body and the creature howled in pain. Now that it was both weakened and stationary Samus readied her missile cannon and pointed it at the beast's side.

"Smile you son of a-" A deafining blast resonated as Samus fired her missile cannon. The missile hit and easily penetrated the monster's shell. It screamed once more before falling limp into the water, dead.

Samus gave a sigh of relief. She had killed the beast meaning she could finally get paid, but more importantly she had saved the lives of innumerable resort goers. Many of those resort goers were now approaching Samus and the dead creature. Seeing that the bounty hunter had killed the rampaging monster many began to clap and cheer some calling Samus a true hero. Samus gave a short laugh at this praise, but decided to embrace it. She spread her legs out, bent her knees a little, twisted her hips, lifted her laser cannon arm in the air, and placed her free hand on her upper arm forming her signature victory pose. The resort goers cheered even louder. They really liked her. Samus was feeling really good about herself in that moment. Like everything was right with the world and nothing could go wrong.
