Use your mother's name

You heard your Dad calling Mom 'Seria' a few times, and know that must be her name. So, you decide to use it. "My name's Seria."

The captain pauses just before taking another mouthful of soup. "What did you say?"

"S-Seria..." you say, as your cheeks flush.

The captain grows silent, before saying, "It's not funny to call yourself that."

"W-what do you mean?" you set your bowl down, and get ready to run as though your life depended upon it.

He sighs. "That is the name of our missing princess. She was... taken from us, by orcs, many years ago. She's probably dead by now, and her name has been forbidden to be given to any child within the kingdom."

He's talking about your mother. They think Dad killed her? No wonder they hate orcs. "I'm sorry."

"Well, even if that is your name, don't use it when you return to the kingdom."

"Um... the kingdom?"

He nods. "Yes, you were going home, right?"

This is bad, you can't tell him that you live with orcs. What now?
