What's next?
Use the brass key to open the locked case on the prize wall and see what's inside.
Prize Wall, Madame Lilith's Midnight Carnival, at 1:45 AM on Wednesday November 1, 2024
Your hands shake as you fit the brass key into the lock. It turns with a satisfying click, and the glass case swings open. Inside sits a small bottle of swirling amber liquid, its label facing you now. You snatch it up, squinting at the elegant script through your crooked glasses.
TRANSFORMATION REVERSAL.
Your heart hammers. Reversal. It's going to undo what the shadow did—give you back your flat chest, your narrow hips, your proper cock. You don't even think. You rip the cork out with your teeth and upend the bottle into your mouth.
The liquid is warm—almost hot—and tastes like honey and copper and something electric that buzzes against your tongue. You swallow it all in three desperate gulps, gasping as it hits your stomach.
For a moment, nothing. Then—
Heat floods through you. Not the cold burn of the shadow's touch, but something different. Something that starts at your scalp and cascades downward like molten gold. You clutch at your head as your hair grows—lengthening, thickening, spilling past your ears, past your shoulders, tumbling down your back in a cascade that gets brighter with every inch. Your mousy brown hair transforms, each strand saturating with color until it's a vivid, electric teal that seems to glow under the carnival lights. It's gorgeous and you hate it—hate how it frames your softening face, hate how it makes you look like one of them.
Your clothes shift next. Your t-shirt doesn't shrink—it grows, the cotton stretching and reshaping, crawling down your torso like something alive. The neckline plunges, revealing the swell of your C-cup cleavage. The hem rides up, exposing your cinched waist. The fabric thins, becomes something closer to mesh in places, your dark nipples visible through the material. Your jeans tighten around your wider hips, the denim softening into something stretchy and low-cut that barely covers your ass.
You look down at yourself—at the slutty crop top and painted-on shorts that have replaced your clothes—and feel sick.
But then you notice something else. A warmth in your chest, like a shield being placed there. Two layers deep. You can feel it—a barrier against whatever the shadow wants to do to you next. Two transformations blocked. Two times the champion's touch won't be able to warp you further.
The label falls from the empty bottle. You pick it up, turn it over. On the back, in smaller print:
Note: 'Reversal' refers to reversal of FUTURE transformations, not past ones. Effects are permanent. Clothing will adapt to body with each subsequent change. Good luck, birthday girl.
"Fuck," you whisper, crushing the label in your fist. Your teal hair sways around your shoulders. You catch your reflection in the glass case—those C-cups pushed up by the slutty top, your wide hips poured into those tiny shorts, your hair a neon beacon. You look like you belong here.
But you don't. You don't.
Two booths still glow behind you. The Fortune Teller's purple curtains ripple in a nonexistent breeze. The Ring Toss station crackles with neon energy. Nine tokens. Twenty tickets. Thirty more needed. And somewhere in the shadows, Lilith is watching you with those too-sharp teeth, delighted by her little joke.
The carnival music swells, calling you deeper.
