Update

My apologies for the long silence, everyone. I just wanted to let you know that I am still alive and still very much wanting to continue writing this story. I have been unable to make progress on it for a number of reasons -- work stress, moving stress, writer's block, etc -- but I have by no means given up on it. I can't promise when the story will resume, only that it will. I have some ideas on how to get the writing inertia going again and you may see some edits going through Book 1 in the near future; I want to re-write it to fix up plot holes and shore up mechanics which I've detected problems with as well as to alter the perspective from second person to third person. If my first attempt at getting my inertia going doesn't work, the re-write is my fallback plan, as it is straightforward and should enable me to get into the habit of writing every day again.

As I cannot be certain when I will resume posting chapters of the story again, I have temporarily shut down my Patreon. I will re-open it when I resume posting new chapters regularly.
